Associated Venue: Flying Goose Brew Pub and Grille
Established in 1996
Current owner, Tom Mills, has owned and operated The Flying Goose since its start in 1993. In 1996, he gave what was known originally as The Four Corners Grille a unique identity by creating a micro-brewery. Mills put many years into rebuilding what is now The Flying Goose Brew Pub & Grille, a casual, family friendly restaurant and brewery now managed by his three kids Brett, Jordan, and Brianna. Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment to all those who walk through our doors. Whether it be for a quick bite, a cold brew, or a place for family and friends to gather, we extend our “home” to you.
Over the years we have learned what is most important to us and the values we practice as a small business. We focus on sourcing locally as much as possible and are thankful for the wonderful relationships created with local purveyors. We became NH’s 1st solar powered brewery in 2011 and continue to find ways to use clean energy as a sustainable business.
The memories, laughs and relationships created here are what we live for! We have been fortunate to work with and serve many incredible people through the years. We are grateful for our amazing “Goose Family” and are thankful for the opportunity to serve you.

16 oz. can. No date code. (Although I believe this is pretty fresh) Aroma is weak non-descriptive fruit and soft herb. I don’t know how many hop varieties were used here. Unfortunately, the flavor is weak stone fruit and really soft herb. Nothing off putting or wrong but... not much going on.

Can from the Packie Hazy bright golden orange color with a decent sized bubbly white head that persists. Earthy grassy citrus with a light spice and a solid sweet bread to back it up. Nice pale ale.

Can from the Packie Hazy lemon yellow with a frothy white head that persists. Sweet bread citrus earthy grassy hops. Has a bit of a mineral water feel to it. Not bad.

Canned on 04/21/2020. Aroma is soft herbs, light pine, sweet grains. Flavor has subtle citrus with a moderate herbal/ pine hop bite. Herbs and pine are the main characters here. Lighter body and a drying finish. Overall, as it should be.

Can (3/4/20) in trade with AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! Appearance is deeply hazy yellow with no sparkle, thin ring of off-white head with trace lacing. Aroma is super dank (almost ammonia/cat pee? rotting vegetation?). Taste fairly mirrors aroma with front half danky vegetation and back half malty cracker. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, lively carbonation with slight stinging, crisp, dry finish. Overall, not digging the aroma or taste, appearance isn't fantastic and mouthfeel is overcarbonated. Subpar on many levels.

16 oz. can. Aroma is bolder citrus, melon pulp, malt. Flavor is orange, sweet malt body that is softer. Melon hints with a lower bitterness. Decent juicy texture. Another really well constructed beer from this brewer.

16 oz. can with a canning of 03/04/20. Flavor shows good amount of fruit and earthy herbs. Mildly juicy hop character. Soft earthy bitterness. Good balance. Overall, very respectable.

Side by side comparison with another Local NH brewed Marzen. Amber in color, thin lasting head. Aroma caramel malt, earthy grain, and toffee. Flavor, is toasted caramel, fruity and soft earth. Light bodied and clean.

Taster pour on tap at NH Brewers Festival. Appearance is a mildly hazy, golden yellow with no sparkle, thin cap of off-white head with decent retention and soapy lacing. Aroma is very strong musky armpit--almost cat piss. Taste follows aroma--strong herbal muskiness. It's not unpleasant though borderline. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thick texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, this is a musk bomb! It is unapologetically musky herb, period. If that's your thing, this would be top tier for you. For me, not bad, but not thoroughly enjoyable, and not complex.
