Associated Venue: Flying Goose Brew Pub and Grille
Established in 1996
Current owner, Tom Mills, has owned and operated The Flying Goose since its start in 1993. In 1996, he gave what was known originally as The Four Corners Grille a unique identity by creating a micro-brewery. Mills put many years into rebuilding what is now The Flying Goose Brew Pub & Grille, a casual, family friendly restaurant and brewery now managed by his three kids Brett, Jordan, and Brianna. Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment to all those who walk through our doors. Whether it be for a quick bite, a cold brew, or a place for family and friends to gather, we extend our “home” to you.
Over the years we have learned what is most important to us and the values we practice as a small business. We focus on sourcing locally as much as possible and are thankful for the wonderful relationships created with local purveyors. We became NH’s 1st solar powered brewery in 2011 and continue to find ways to use clean energy as a sustainable business.
The memories, laughs and relationships created here are what we live for! We have been fortunate to work with and serve many incredible people through the years. We are grateful for our amazing “Goose Family” and are thankful for the opportunity to serve you.

Undated, fresh can from brewery cooler drunk 10/16/25.
Looks great! Deep auburn-copper-amber. Big, light beige head, strong retention.
Really delicate but fragrant hops add a mix of dried herb and light pepper with a touch of floral character. Good mix of bread and caramel from the malt, without too much sourdough/toast. Very clean and crisp on the finish.
Malty and gently hoppy with soft flowers and herbs. Great base malt character with lower caramel and little/no toast. Malty texture with excellent carbonation, drying out slightly towards the end. Fruity, red berries and a touch more caramel linger. Balanced and flavorful. Is a bit more richly/thickly malty than it is crisp and refreshing, but only just slightly so. A touch short on the finish.

Undated can from the brewery fridge, drunk 10/14/25.
Clear at first, but I added the sediment from the bottom, for better or worse. Medium-sized, white head, steadily to spotty cover. Lightly hazy copper-tangerine.
Peach-papaya with a healthy maltiness to balance (big white bread and light biscuit character). Neither too woody nor piney despite the Azacca and Simcoe. Clean and bright.
Juicy and solidly bitter. Lots of pine, wood, slight resin. Peppery spice and grapefruit join in on the finish as soft, well-attenuated malts add bread and sourdough. Huge fresh yeast character and tons of mixed citrus lingering. Clean and very flavorful with excellent malt depth and attenuation. Yeah, it's on the bitter side for IPAs, but I just can't be mad given the state of IPA currently.

Undated can drunk 10/13/25.
Gently hazy, lemon-golden with a large, off-white head, with strong retention.
Soft and lightly juicy but still showing light pine and lemongrass to prevent it from being too juicy/soft. Clean and polished with biscuit and light white bread from the malt.
Juicy and lemony with earth and unripe tropical fruit skin. Mineral and lemon lingering with a bit of sponge cake and white bread. Ample body for its size and well-attenuated. Excellent bitterness and a real rustic feel to the beer overall, while still being polished/well-made.

Undated can drunk 10/12/25.
Looks great. Rich honey-golden, clear with a dense, large, white head that is well-retained.
Juicy citra adding more on the tropical side; papaya, mango, etc...with a pinch of white grape coming from somewhere. Light mineral, light spice. Rich, but seemingly well-attenuated, honey-like malts with a touch of bread. Quite inviting aroma.
Richness continues through the flavor with a big white grape character with hints of stone fruit and kumquat. Deep malts are well-attenuated. Lightly peppery, lightly bitter finish. Could use a touch more bitterness, maybe? There is some sourdough-like character to the malt that helps keep it dry and balanced, though.

Brewpub draught, 10/5/25.
Bright, near-cherry red. Good clarity. Soft copper hues behind it. Small, off-white head.
Big malt and moderate oak, but no big tannin, nothing raw. Dainty berries are not too acidic either, and there's a wheat-like softness/roundness.
Significantly different than their cherry lambic, with much more malt, and the alcohol being felt in the fullness and strength ( but nothing hot/raw). Fruity berry contributes a fun, piquant acidity. Juicy, soft, malty, tending lightly sweet, but helpful in balancing all of this acidity and light oak.

Brewpub draught, 10/5/25.
Clear, bright cherry red with a small, pinkish head.
Bright, tart cherry in the nose, nice and mellowed out with aging and mixing with soft funk and light oak. Nothing aggressive here and it smells like a lambic (assuming the pitched lambic blend).
Oaky, but not harsh or overly tannic, with tart cherry, gentle sweetness and good attenuation. Soft wheat and tannin give a chewy, round texture to help balance. Great flavors, all nice and mellow and rounded. Not too much funk. About as good as it gets for a non-blended, single foeder, American "lambic".

Can from Greg & Jane's Beer and Wine. Opaque, murky, dark brown, tons of sparkle, thick head with excellent retention and decent lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, pine, fruit. Taste is strong roasted malt and pine. Smooth texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. It isn't wowing me but it is a good, standard black IPA.

16 oz can. Slightly murky, reddish color. Aroma shows soft malt, light toffee. Flavor has a light malt backbone, slight earthy hint. The texture is somewhat crisp. Simplistic in nature. I was looking for something simple.
