Description
Rustic family owned and operated restaurant featuring farm to table menu, gluten free and vegetarian selections, sustainable business practices including solar and biomass, 20 handcrafted award winning brews.

Current owner, Tom Mills, has owned and operated The Flying Goose since its start in 1993. In 1996, he gave what was known originally as The Four Corners Grille a unique identity by creating a micro-brewery. Mills put many years into rebuilding what is now The Flying Goose Brew Pub & Grille, a casual, family friendly restaurant and brewery now managed by his three kids Brett, Jordan, and Brianna. Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment to all those who walk through our doors. Whether it be for a quick bite, a cold brew, or a place for family and friends to gather, we extend our “home” to you.

Over the years we have learned what is most important to us and the values we practice as a small business. We focus on sourcing locally as much as possible and are thankful for the wonderful relationships created with local purveyors. We became NH’s 1st solar powered brewery in 2011 and continue to find ways to use clean energy as a sustainable business.

The memories, laughs and relationships created here are what we live for! We have been fortunate to work with and serve many incredible people through the years. We are grateful for our amazing “Goose Family” and are thankful for the opportunity to serve you.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a semi clear brown color with a bar pour’s kind of slim white foamy head that fell off immediately. No lace.
The aroma had a ton of sweet malty caramel/toffee notes up front with some light chestnut roastiness underneath.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side with some hay/grassy features coming out. Light butterscotch. This blends with the caramel to slide into the aftertaste. Same sort of finish.
The feel was about medium bodied. Some sessionability to this beer. ABV felt just a tad under.
Overall, I missed the barrel age in this beer. I didn’t mind for me.

22 oz bottle shared by AdamChandler. Light brown in color. The aroma and flavor run together. It shows me have tart citrus, red wine, maybe a blackberry hint. Some acidity, spritzy carbonation, oak, champagne like mouthfeel, decent.

Frothy beige head stayed well on a translucent auburn body. Malty & dark fruit aroma. Medium bodied, lots of carbonation. Quite smooth though. Malt, plum, toffee, brown sugar slightly hoppy on the back. Very drinkable!

Bottle from Bert’s Pours a slightly hazy deep yellow color with a small bubbly white head that persists. Floral, light citrus and spice on the nose with a firm sweet bready maltiness. The flavor is quite strong with clove butt he sweet breadiness counters that nicely. Light to moderate floral and faint peppery flavors round this out nicely. Light to medium body moderate carbonation slick sweet mouthfeel. Decent saison although I was hoping for a bit more peppery character. Nice warm weather drinker!

Draft at Tuckaway Tavern, Raymond, NH, 5/23/2016. Snifter shows pitch black color, very low carb. Very pleasant roasted chocolate malt nose. Bitter chocolate, coffee hints and a very nice dark fruits. Raisins or fig hints.

The booze doesn’t hide itself here. It lets you know that it is a RIS. The dark fruit is a nice accent in the finish with a strong amount of oak. A bit thinner body for an Impy Stout, but what it lacks in body, it makes up for in taste.

Tap at Cask and Vine Deep copper with a good sized bubbly head. Big caramel and toffee with bits of earthy spice to counter. Great sipper that disappeared too quickly.

Draft at the source. Dark brown color with slowly dissipating head. Really nice nutty caramel aroma. Earthy malts.

Medium mouthfeel, and a nice smokey sweet hazelnut with a slight hint of brown sugar in the aftertaste. It must have a good hop profile because it never gets overly sweet. Really good for the style. Smooth and easy to drink.

Draft the source. Slightly hazy gold in color, very slow carbonation level that shows no head. Aroma is mild oak with a steady amount of funky yeast. Brettanomyces or some other bug.

Flavor is a very mild nuance of white grape with a center of some rotten peach. The oak is very delicate toward the finish and turns the palate dry. Honestly, very enjoyable. Nicely crafted

Draft at the source. Aroma is pretty nice, mild pine like notes with a light grapefruit. Pretty mellow.

The back bone is pale grain that gives some baked white bread hints. The hop profile is earth overall. The pine is slightly stronger then the citrus. Bitterness is mild with a sweet bread balance.
