05/05/2012 Brasserie 4:20, 750ml bottle shared by Alessandra. Dorata, opalescente, lievemente torbida, schiuma fine e abbondante, bianca, molto persistente. Aroma fantastico, deciso, forte, rustico, terroso, sentori di stalla, cantina, agrumato. In bocca è acida decisa, di grandissimo carattere, agrumata, secca, pulitissima. Corpo medio, carbonazione media. Una fantastica gueuze, letteralmente stupefacente!

Hazy amber body without head. Lightly malty sourish flavour with fruit giving an overall nice complexity. Moderately sweet, moderately sour: subtle and well balanced. Very good in its style.

Pours slightly hazy dark golden color with white head. Funky barnyard aroma. Sour lemon and funky barnyard flavors. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Excellent!

Dark amber brown colour, slightly hazy, no head. Aroma of candy sugar, light tart and light silage. Flavour quite sweet, very slight tart notes, light lactic acid / yoghurt. Finish candy sugar. Interesting.

Slightly hazy golden colour, no head. aroma of egg, sulphur, some butter. Light brett and hay, but the sulphur is overpowering other aromas. Very fruity flavour, light tart, wood, sherry vinegar. Light egg. Slightly sweet finish, quite herbal. Very nice, aside from the aroma, which is quite off-putting, honestly.

Cask / hand-pump @ ZBF 2012 // hazy orange with no head // smell is round & full musty lemon, horseblanket & hay // round musty lemon, touch of melon, stale water, funky horseblanket, old mustiness & touch cellar, orange peels, medium sourness, not bad acidity // nicely flat // far from a bad thing

Cask @ ZBF’12. Dorée/paille brumeuse, col blanc léger. Quelle différence au palais pour cette version, qui pour moi se démarque en positif. Arôme est bien houblonné, sec suggérant un dry-hopping, le tout gardant une belle note fruitée avec un complément de grains/froment. En bouche, un profile herbacé voire citronné par le houblon qui se rapproche du fourrage (dans un bon sens) avec cet aspect vieux grains, le tout restant sec en bouche. Une bière à déguster, et que je demande à revisiter peut être ailleurs que dans le bruit d’un festival brassicole.
