Pours clear light golden with a small white head, good lacing. Fruity, peaches, zesty.

Can from Isetan. Toast, caramel and smoke in the nose. Flavor shows more bacon / smoked salmon and katsuobushi, with rich bready malt and sweet caramel. Smoke is on the lighter side, typically Japanese level. A tad too sweet but well done.

Moderately sweet. Doughy pale biscuits. A little faint green herb. Straw. Interesting. Fairly simple. Drinkable enough.

CBJ tasting, thanks to Tips for the can. Pretty much a clear gold beer
, small pale cream colour head. Soft smooth palate, modest fine carbonation. Slightly grainy pale malts, a light creamy sweetness. Good sake sweet rice and booze. A mild citrus in the back end. Amusing.

I saw online Nara Brewing had released a 7th Anniversary beer so I popped by Kyoto Isetan to see if it was in stock and I got lucky!

Nara Faker Holic 5.5%
Hazy IPA 25 IBU

not terribly hazy in appearance but it has a nice thick dense head of off-white foam and a tutti-frutti a touch juicy aroma. Medium to full smooth body with a modern tropical juicy hop profile.

Solid stuff but not quite full on haze.

Beautiful chestnut mahogany color. Excellent smoked cheese and smoked meat nose. . Medium full bodied. Modestly bitterness with slightly underlying sweetness. Very well executed

Nara Brewing Bifur
Dortmunder 6% 18 IBU

Clear gold with little foam beyond a brief white fizziness. Bready malts with hints of honey and then a herbal hop bite.

Good stuff.
