Saison yeast, definitely something herbaceous from the fig leaf. Not getting a ton out of the spelt grain wise. But a well-made bubbly dry saison

Can. Pale yellowish orange with a brief white head. Light bready aroma with yuzu and salt obvious accents. So it tastes. Light bodied and spritzy. Clean and dryish with a moderately bitter Eno-like finish. Refreshing.

Can. Slightly misted gold with a white head. Aroma is floral with slightly nutty grain, spices and an earthy herbal note that I guess is fig leaf. Light bodied, spritzy. Lean dough, moderate fruity funk, a hint of tartness, then a dry and fairly bitter finish. Quaffable with intrigue.

Can. No umlauts in Orbost, I guess. Very pale gold with good inch of white head that collapses. Aroma of crackery bread, lemon, spices, hints of honeydew melon - lots of Saaz, a little Motueka: a little twist, not a turn. And then there’s a little apricot in the taste as well. Decent bitterness with a spicy punch at the end. Impressive.

Can. Purplish red with a light pink head that lasts fairly well. Aroma is pretty shy with some blueberry skins and wheaty crackers, a suggestion of funk. But the berries come through in the taste. It's gently sour and quite dry. Very refreshing with fine balance.

Can. Golden amber with a white head. Singed malty and corn aroma with faint ointment notes. Moderately sweet and broad on the palate until bitterness and slightly singed and earthy notes come through. Refreshing, intriguing. As so often with Sailors Grave, a bit different to anything else I've ever had.

I read dark lager and for somereason though black lager, which it’s not. Sweet, caramel malts dominate, with a creamy roundness and lots of wheat.

Nice balance of smoke, roast and salinity here.

Can. Opaque brownish orange with a dense cm of white head. Aroma of peach, lime, pineapple, light bread. Juicy but really quite clean with none of vagueness I associate with the style - stone, citrus and tropical fruit with a nice zesty orange note that sharpens the nectar-like quality. Pretty modest bitterness but enough to provide a brief finish. Good.

A very nice black IPA. Aromas of caramel, grapefruit, biscuit and chocolate. Quite a bubbly mouthfeel with quite a lemony note that perhaps slightly unbalances it, but it's a minor criticism.
