Schooner on tap. Cloudy amber beer with thin white head. Floral nose, some malt. Good lacing. Taste and finish is sweet. Lightweight as an APA but great as a quencher.

Bottle from Coles Liqourland, Melbourne. Poured a crystal clear light amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is dry cardboard malt, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a watery, light malt, dry cardboard, flavourless, lacklustre, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. So So. Not the worst beer in the world but i'm not a fan.

At a tasting, thanks Dudu, small stable creamy bubbly head, clear quite dark brown color, light aroma and flavor of dark bread and chocolate, light bitterness, hints of ash quite dry. Fair and drinkable.

Bottle. As Barrel Aged Sour Red, says it’s spontaneously fermented in oak barrels before blended with young beer. Slightly reddish brown with a large beige head that retreats to a far coat. Aroma is of earthy funk, not very vibrant cherries, aged Balsamic vinegar and oak. You might guess wine from the aroma. Very light bodied. Lowish carbonation. Tastes much as it smells with the addition of a little milky chocolate. No real bitterness but gently acidic. Designed, I guess, for someone who likes a lighter but still structured red wine to knock back with charcuterie and cheese. Needs a little more body (and it’s far too expensive) but this is a sophisticated drop and promises much.

Tap at Cookie, Melbourne. Poured a hazy straw colour with a bubbly round head. The aroma is grainy malt, light banana, light spice. The flavour is light grainy citrus fruit with a smooth, crisp, mineral, light spicy clove, light sweet honey, light fruit, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Plenty of Saison characteristics here too.

Half pint on tap at Basement Brewhouse, Bankstown. Dark brown beer with thin white head. Nose is chocolate, brandy, and dark fruit. Lightly spritzy with sweet caramel finish. A little touch of cocoa right at the end balances it out. Nice light dessert beer.
