Can: Poured a murky brown color ale with a large dark white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy floral undertones with light dank notes also noticeable. Taste is a mix of dank hops notes with citrusy undertones and light guava notes. Body is full with weird color and good carbonation. Enjoyable NEIPA with nice hops profile but malt base need to be somewhat cleaned-up.

473mL can, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Nose brings out a nice bourbon barrels character upfront, with brown sugar, Belgian yeast, and dark fruits. Flavour reveals likewise a complex bourbon barrel character, light booze, dark dried fruits, and a little brown sugar. What an elegant flavour profile - the barrels really add some nice layers to this. Excellent.

Can from our new local IGA. Pours a clean copper colour with a light beige head, average retention and some nice creamy lace. Sweet syrupy nose with sugars, maple syrup and molasses. I even get berry notes with time. The taste shows more the brown ale side, with the darker malts and not much sweetness. Flavours are mild, but make this a easy-drinkable brew.

Canette 473ml. Carbonatation moyenne-faible, corps moyen.

Hazy golden coloured body with a ridiculously large eight to ten centimetre tall pure white head that doesn't seem to quit growing - the can was a bit tight too, so I knew it might happen. Aroma of grass, hay, wheat, yeast, alcohol and a big dose of citrus and especially curacao. Medium-bodied; Candied orange flavour at first with the big dose of coriander seed freshness, a lot of grain, some light spices and a sweet grassy and floral kick with a big note of pure oranges that show through the funk and bready yeast. Aftertaste shows a nice complexity, but robust sweetness from the oranges, yeast, bread, dry grain and alcohol that all pop out within the lifespan of this one. Overall, a very nice and elegant german-styled hefeweizen with a big kick of the breadie yeast and pungent funk from the curacao and sweet orange notes throughout that ends well with a dry quality and a bit of extra sweetness on the end. Great to sample and well worth trying to find, packing it in your suitcase and drinking it later! I sampled this 473 mL can purchased from Au Coin Duluth in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 18-September-2016 for CA$2,99 sampled at home in Washington almost a full year later on 05-September-2017.
