330ml bottle [8.8% abv]. Jet black colour with small to average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige to tan head. Woody BA aroma, notes of dark malt, some leather. Taste is minimally tannic, woody, roasty dark malty, hints of leather, some roast. Nothing spectacular.

Zwart bier zonder schuim. Smaak is licht zuur, eigenlijk iets te zuur voor een stout, met duidelijk peper en iets van rode bessen. Wat mij betreft niet geslaagd.

On tap at Taphuys Arnhem. A murky orange yellow golden beer with a white head. Aroma of tart red berries. Taste of tart Red berries, herbs and yeast.

Ik vind hem niet vies, maar niet wat ik van een Imperial IPA verwacht. Mag agressiever, plakkeriger.

17 August 2019. At Gents Bierfestival X. Cheers to Anke, Kevin & the crew! Hazy orange, lasting, small, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of coffee bean, raw vanilla, ripe mango, orange peel, pineapple, white chocolate, almond. Taste is light to medium malty sweet, balancing fruity notes of peach & pineapple with chocolate & vanilla; some bitter orange peel after that, with a spicy & bready touch, very low on (powdery) coffee roast. Dryish, earthy hoppy finish, lingering coffee bean, vanilla & chocolate with warming liqueur-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Interesting and actually quite successful experiment, nice balance between 'light' Ale & 'dark' Stout elements.

Black with thin head. It's got a very nice dryness. The lack of sweetness almost pushes this one to a slightly savoury note. Rich and full bodied.

Hazy blond colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have plenty of tropical fruit. Quite citrusy and pithy. A bit too bitter.

Clear light brown with soapy head. Aroma and flavour are dominated by sweet, spicy Tonka. No!
