Tap at barhop2. Hazy yellow pour, big white head. Earthy, grassy, malted wheat Aroma.. Slight barrel notes. Hints of sage, and woody lemon skin. Lively carb and mouth feel. Low bitterness, grassy, lemongrass finish. Earthy barrel and wheat to round it out.

500ml botttle from the lcbo. Jet black with a medium light brown head. Aroma is very very woody, hints of vanilla and dark fruit with alot of toasted malts, but not too charred or burnt, just slightly toasted. Mouth feel is normal for the style, and the carb is good. The finish is very sweet, and the JD barrel really comes through in the end. Notes of bourbon, and wood with some vanilla, the alcohol is well hidden, but man this is sweet, no hops to speak of a good winter sipper.

Jet black pour, tiny white head. Aroma of very dark, almost burnt coffee. Soft carb, almost flat really. Finish is all coffee, medium bitterness. Very coffee heavy, not much else is allowed to come through.

Like previous ratings, my bottle was completely flat. So I proceeded to pour it incredibly vigorously. I managed to get what looked like a pint glass of cask ale. Biscuity malts, note of caramel, and malty sweetness. Little to no presence of rye, slight grassy hops, low bitterness. Nothing special, too bad alot of these bottles are flat.

Clear yellow pour, small white head. Nice cereals, soft grassy hops. Nothing special, crisp, and easy drinking. A nice alternative to macro swill.

This black poured just that, deep black colour with a big, tan coloured head. Decent lacing. Scents include… ripe fruit, slight vinegar, roasted malt and a little coffee. First swig was better than expected. Flavours of coffee, minimal dark bitter chocolate and roasted malts. Finish is burnt and somewhat smokey. Not bad at all.
