Not every IPA has to be a hop bomb. This beer has some nice understated elements and I would buy it again. The nose is sweet malt, a touch of rye and a hint of tropical fruit. Colour is a redish gold with a soft white head. The taste profile leads with soft, sweet malts, bolstered by a nice touch of rye zestiness. The hops are there but understated, with a nice lemon hit to them. There is a slight mustiness or earthiness lingering in there as well. The finish is smooth with the malts becoming more chewy at the end. Very nicely done.

Black pour, creamy beige head. Aroma is a blast of raspberry jam, with some roasty cocoa and hints of coffee. Full mouth feel, soft creamy carb. Finish isn't as sweet as I expected. Light roast, medium bitter.

Bottle from the brewery. Dark brown pour, small beige head. Light cherry, big balsamic aromas. Light brown sugar, and musty malts. The barrel is nowhere to be found and as it warms, whoa!.... This is like drinking vinegar with some light fruit in it. No Thanks. This went from over the top flemish red, to straight vinegar.

Slightly hazy golden pour, small white head. Aroma is very green, fresh hop cones, but it fades extremely fast. What’s left is light , slightly citic grassiness, and subtle wheat, with some light tartness. Mouth feel feels muddled, carb is quite soft. Finish is subtly tart, medium bitterness, with some light citrus, slight grapefruit hoppiness.

Dark copper pour, big beige head. Aroma is super earthy, grassy hops, with hintsof citrus, and some great caramel, earthy malts. Grwat mouthfeel, and carb is perfect. The finish is medium bitter, with a slightly soapy hop finish with loads of earthy matls and grassy hops, hints of caramel bread, and some toasted nuts. Nice stuff.
