Bottle - Cold pressed dark roast with some nice chocolate notes. Jet brown black with a light brown head. Lots of roasty and chocolaty coffee notes with a touch of astringent coffee bitterness. Body is a little on the light side, but otherwise pretty good.

500mL bottle, pours a cloudy opaque dark reddish rusted brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dark fruits, toffee, alcohol and Belgian yeast -- fairly sweet for a quad. Flavour isn't authentic for a quad, with lots of booze, toffee, Belgian yeast, and dark fruits. Quite messy and harsh, with all the elements clashing. Not a very cohesive quad.

Bottle - Sweet, tart citrus and some soapy notes. Clear gold with a decent white head. Tart almost herbal and lots of citrus peel. The Rhubarb comes out as a strong earthy citrus peel. The finish has some tropical fruit as well.

2014 edition - brown bottle with silver-grey wax over the tip. Pours a real dark brown colour with very little red highlights. The mocha-coloured head starts off big, but fizzy, so disappears fast enough leaving minimal lacing. Sweet aromas of dark fruits with some cocoa notes, apples and mild alcohol. The taste is quite sweet but with some nice bitterness in the finish to balanced things. Roasted malts, a little syrupy, with some coffee, grass, hints of chocolate and the vanilla-coconut from the bourbon barrels. Alcohol is showing again, but an overall good sipper. Thankfully this is not a 750ml bottle, as would be a little too sweet to have that much.

Bottle from the LCBO. Very pale hazy yellow with a minimal white head that quickly fades to sheet. Nose is prominent wheat and citra with a lot of funk and some light tart fruit. Flavour is light honey sweetness with a light lemon tartness. Quite muted compared to the promise of the nose. Mouth is medium thin with soft carbonation and a dry finish. Interesting.

Poured from the tap. Cloudy golden with white head. Tart sour aroma. Taste initially starts same, but finishes bland farm yeasty with very subtle wine. Light body, quick finish.
