On tap at the Prado 5 Seasons. Pours black, with a small, creamy, tan head. Nose is roasted coffee, syrup, bitter chocolate, and a little licorice. Sweet, with a significant bitterness, and a long, acrid, bitter aftertaste. Medium to heavy body, chalky, and thick. Overall, this is a weak, unpleasant porter. Could be much better.

Medium to heavy body, syrupy, sticky, and a little warming. Overall, this is a very interesting treatment. Tasty, reasonably complex, and smooth.

On tap at 5 Seasons Prado. Pale yellow color, with a small, bubbly, white head. Nose of sweet apples, bananas and light bubblegum, butterscotch, and a little cloves. Sweet, with a touch of bitterness. Light to medium body, creamy, lightly acidic, and crisp. This is a nice and interesting cider, with a character that reminds me of a hefeweizen.

On tap at the brewpub. Dark brown, with a medium, beige head, and nice lacing. Good nose of black bread, anise, peat, orange zest, cardamom. Sweet, with a light bitterness, and a good savory spice. Medium to heavy body, sticky, and doughy. This is a quality scotch ale, with a nice malty flavor.

On tap at the brewpub. Cloudy brown pour, with a nitro-esque, tan head. The aroma is orange peel, black bread, oak, nutmeg, vanilla, rye, and a touch of some floral and citrusy hops. Sweet and boozy, with a nice, mild hop bitterness. Heavy body, sticky, syrupy, and a little lively, but smooth and clean. This is an nicely balanced, complex, and delicious beer. I’d like to see more barrel aged ESBs.
