Bottle shared with Casey, Tracey and Loz at a great American beer tasting evening 11-04-08 hosted by Casey and Tracey, cheers mate! Unusual farmy slightly sileage aroma to this (noticed very accurately by Loz) there is a wet sweet grass slightly decompsing aweay type quality to this aroma but then I suppose like Loz said its sileage! (not unpleasant though) Pours deep amber with a white creamy actually it might be a tan head. Soft and mellow tasting around the edges with the oak really taking away any bitterness. This beer is arrogant ok and it almost challenges you not to like it fortunately I did like it, I loved the vanilla, the hops and all, lovely beer and a great finish to a wonderful evening of top class beers, many thanks once again to Casey and Traci, by the way the food was lovely as well!

Bottled (thanks omhper!). Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is big fruity and grassy hops along with some wood and berries. Flavour is much the same with some licorice and sweet fruits.

Bottled. Mahogany colour, small creamy head. Powerful grapefruity hop aroma that collides abrubtly with oak. Sweet and rounded with solid caramelly body. Massively hoppy, citric and grapefruity. The oak and hops bitterness combine to an unpleasantly inky finish.

Bottle at HogTownHarry Fest ’08. The second beer from Harry’s box of delights. Lovely hop, some sour oak. That’s not quite right. Doesn’t quite go together. That slight sour/oak thing makes me think that it doesn’t all work out. Bit of vanilla. Decent score cos it is interesting.

Maybe it was because I was drinking a really hoppy IPA right before this, but when i drank it, I was really surprised at how smooth and not arrogant it was. Stone would probably say that is a bad thing, but anyway here it goes: Nice amber brown body with a tannish head that left an awesome lacing. Aroma had the strong hops plus some little woody notes. The oak taste was minimal in the beer, mostly you got a hoppy complexity coupled with pretty tight malts.
