Dunkertons history reaches back to 1980 when Ivor and Susie Dunkerton made the decision to escape London and buy a small holding in Pembridge, Herefordshire. They realised that with such a small amount of land they needed to specialise in some form of agriculture and spotted that traditional cider making presented a fantastic opportunity.
In 2014 Ivor and Susie passed Dunkertons to their son Julian and his business partner Bean.
In 2016 the production business relocated to our new state of the art cidery at Dowdeswell Park, Cheltenham.

500ml bottle drunk in the park on a sunny Spring day. Immediately starts sucking the cheeks with lots of overripe, bittersweet apples blended together. Such a great cider, definitely one of Dunkertons’ best.

Bottle from Hay Wines, Ledbury, Herefordshire. Straw colour. Light haze. Fresh, bittersweet apple. A little brown sugar. Some lavender type flora. Taste is off dry. Has a light, smoky character. Soft, slightly thin palate. No booze until the finish. Tart, dry close. Decent. Unusual.

Pale straw colour. Dry pears with a lot of complexities in aroma. Fine and complex taste. A bit of rauchbier in aftertaste. Complex and interesting.

500ml bottle from Dunkertons Cider Farm, Herefordshire. Pours clear gold, with a sweet fruity perry aroma. Taste is distinctive Dunkertons; fruity, exceedingly well blended and underpinned by just the right amount of tannins.. I could drink this all day long.

330ml bottle as DUNKERTONS ORGANIC CIDER 6.8% from Dunkertons Cider Farm. Pours light yellow, perfectly carbonated. Crisp, fresh with green apple flesh, skins, a ripe fruitiness and slight tannins sucking the tongue. One of the best ciders in Dunkerton’s arsenal. Criminally under-rated.
