Sampled on draft at Hou Thou this beer poured a black color with a trace soapy tan head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was chocolate and cream. The flavor was sweet lactose, chocolate, malted milk, a hint of cherry, moderate toasty malts and had a boozy presence. Medium length finish of lactose, toast malts, chocolate and booze. Smooth and creamy body. Ok.

12 ounce bottle from a Kroger. Pours a hazy amber color with a large foamy white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of pale malts, mild pumpkin, mild spice. The taste is pumpkin, apple, berries, mild spice. Medium bodied, delicate and not boozy at all for an imperial. Smells kinda blah but the rest of the package is thankfully fairly nice. Decent beer.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Sparrow, 12/29/13

Aroma: The nose is cooked vegetation (pumpkin, butternut squash, etc.) and spice
Appearance: A mahogany color with a fizzy tan head that dissipates quickly leaving a small ring
Flavor: The taste is full of vegetation, with plenty of spice, and some underlying sweet malts
Palate: The body is medium-plus, it has a fizzy carbonation, and a just straight-up odd finish
Overall Impression: I've never seem anything from this brewery before (at least that I can recall), but it is always good to see a new brewery randomly show up in my local stores. Anyway, as for the beer, this one is certainly interesting. One of those beers where half way through I'm not even sure whether I liked it or not. Still, it is very much worth trying. Eventually I decided that I like this for one bottle's worth, but I've got 3 more, if I end up drinking those, we shall see if I still like it.

Rustico, Arlington tap ($6): Pours black with a beige head. Aroma is chocolate and cherries and sugar. Taste is chocolate, with a very discrete and separate taste of cherries (really well done in this regard). Body was soft and velvety. Chocolate flavors were tasty. Everything was adequately balanced. Good job.

Sampled on tap at the Bier Baron DC. Pours a slightly hazy amber with some thin, creamy head. Nose is very sweet smelling, maple, spice, fake pumpkin. Flavor is a little better, still sweet, plenty of maple, roasted parsnips and squash, some mild spice. Sweet finish. A little one note.

$2.20 Bottle, Wine Warehouse, CHO. Pours... ok, there are chunks in this beer. Like chunks of snot or glue. Pours a chunk dark amber with a small head. Chunks settle to the bottom. Very mild aroma. Light maple and pumpkin. Some spicing. Taste is heavy nutmeg and cinnamon, light maple, pumpkin, and copper. The chunks turned out to be not-so-well blended spices as the beer was spicier the more I drank.
