Lightly hazed, golden-pink colour with particles of different sizes floating around. The head is frothy, whitish with a pinkish hue, average stay and decent soapy lacing. Fresh, fruity nose with mostly wild strawberries. Blueberry sweetness does come out with time. Wet mouthfeel with a touch of dryness. The fruits are milder, watered-down in the flavours. A decent, light, fruity beer that is refreshing.

2021 edition bottle found in the back of a shelf, pouring a dark brown colour with lots of ruby-copper highlights. The head is bubbly-creamy, quite long lasting, warm beige and leaving some very nice lacing. Aromas of a Black IPA with the roasted malt base and some grassy hops. Eventually, oak-vanilla from the barrel comes out with the wine notes. I do get more white wine characteristics than red Sauvignon. Smooth mouthfeel, kind of slick long lasting, and nice building dryness that lingers lightly. Vinous notes that blends with the oak, roasted barley and hoppy grassiness. A pretty good Black IPA with the oak barrel of red wine adding a nice touch.

2023 edition - pouring a dark brown, almost black with a little ruby-copper highlight. A frothy, mocha-coloured head, good retention for the style, leaving some nice thick, foamy lacing. A nice white wine nose over the roasted malts, some apple notes, alcohol and a touch of dark fruits. The mouthfeel is silky, smooth with a light, drying finish. Flavours are well-blended having nothing sticking out too much. Roasted barley, oak-vanilla, apples and white grapes. Mild chocolate lingers, then wood. Quite an easy-sipping Imperial stout with the white wine barrel notes and decent warming.

On tap at Rappourt. Pours a clear yellow with a slight gold hue with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a decent amount of sweet wheat with some flora and a touch of banana underlying. Flavor has some sweet wheat and earthy flora with a bit of banana backing.

Proéminence du Calvados avec accents de pommes, notes de vin rouge, de fleurs sauvages, avec une touche d’agrumes dans un olfactif ou l’alcool est bien en évidence. De couleur ambré, presque cuivré et bien limpide. La mousse est moyennement petite mais quand même persistante. Entrée de bouche où l’effervescence pousse les notes de pommes, l’alcool, les épices ainsi qu’une amertume herbacée et poivrée. La levure saison est bien sentie, phénolique et s’agrémente parfaitement de la prédominance du Calvados. Par contre, ce dernier assomme le coté fruité de la levure. Can from Beer Republic. Hazy brown, small, foamy, tan head. Aroma of candied date, raisin, apricot jam, dark honey, orange peel, caramel, brioche, liqueur. Taste has very sweet candied date, raisin & red apple in a honeyish, caramelly malt body with herbal edges. Soft earthy hoppy finish, lingering dried fruits, vague toast, warming honey liqueur-like alcohol. Medium to full body, syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Tasty, but more of a genuine 'honey beer' than a Scotch.
