Can from Luvians. Dark brown body with ruby highlights and a thick beige head. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, red currants and coffee. Flavour of dark malt and berries. Medium brown du with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. A rich and moreish dark beer.

Cask at Queen Vic. It pours hazy buff / pale brown with a thick, fluffy off - white head. The aroma is soft, hearty malt, bread, wheat crackers, touch of spice, grass, melon and touch of green banana. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, firm dryness, quite mellow, wheat bread, green banana, melon, fragrant, some spice and dull citrus peel with a drying, kinda woody finish. Average carbonation and moderate, fluffy carbonation. More mellow than expected. Rounded and drinkable, but lacking the usual wow factor.

Cask NERAX clear golden and huge foamy head. Nose is fruity and some lucky charms cereal. Tastes crackery, cereal, tangerine and star fruit. Creamy palate.

Cask at The Prince of Wales, Aberdeen. It pours clear pale gold with a thick and lasting white head. The aroma is fresh, bright, tropical fruits, guava, tropical hubba bubba, papaya, mango, melon, touch green, herbal, aniseed and hop sack. The taste is crisp, firmly dry, pleasing bitterness which lingers throughout, clean, malt base, pithy, zesty, zingy citrus vibes, tropical action, guava, papaya, berry and some peppery spice with a lingering bitter, zingy finish. Light body and soft, supportive cask carbonation. Bright, interesting hop character and very moreish. Nice edition in this series.

Panda thanks to Cloin. Near clear brown beer, good bubbly pale tan head. Palate is smooth, fairly light and semi dry, decent fine carbonation emerging late on. The mouthfeel of the dark malts is thin but the flavour imparted is of a decent if unsweet dark chocolate, a mild boxy roast and a touch of thin dark malt cream. Decent ripe fruits in the mid and then the light but smooth and pleasing rum barrel kicks in, gets richer towards the light, semi dry and spicy finish. Nice job. A little thin on the mouthfeel for me but, perversely, I think aided the drinkability of this one.

Cask at Archie's. It pours clear amber with a thick, tense off -white head. The aroma is doughy, white bread, baked goods, muffin, oatcake, dusty and underlying sweetness. The taste is firmly dry, decent lingering bitterness, underlying sweetness, pithy, zesty citrus, sharpness, white bread, oatcakes, cracker, fragrant, floral and some soapy vibes. Finish is kinda soapy and spicy. Medium body and family dense cask carbonation. Feels quite unbalanced for a mazren and not what I would normally expect from Fyne.
