Description
We are Fyne Ales, a family-owned Scottish farm brewery. When our brewery was founded in 2001, the goal was not only to make the best quality beer, but to bring jobs, industry and tourism to our community and our quiet corner of rural Scotland. We’ve continued brewing in this spirit ever since. Drawing water from the hills and brewing in converted farm buildings, we create modern, ambitious and progressive beers in a wide variety of styles.

Cask conditioned, gravity at Battersea Beer Festival 2006. I think this was my highest rated UK beer of the festival and it wasn’t even on the list!!! Chestnut colour with thin beige head. Lovely aroma, nutty/dates/fruit and deep malt. Good malts in mouth. Drying finish. In fact my notes say, Best UK beer so far. Soft in mouth with a salty bitterness, again as Duff so rightly said.

[Cask at GBBF 2005] A red-brown beer with a tin off-white head. The aroma is sweet with light notes of roasted malt as well as hints of diacethyl. The flavor is sweet roasted with light notes of prunes, leading to a dry roasted end.
