Third brew of the day after arriving in Edinburgh for a few days of beer and culture. This one obviously a beer part of that. Easy hoppy session, fairly soft water giving it a good mouthfeel. Some dryness, some fruitiness. Drank at the pleasant enough Theatre Royal Bar.

Black topped with a dirty tan cap.
Nose is dark malts, charr, roast, rummy tones, toffee, dark fruit rinds, light spice, cocoa sprinkle, liquorice
Taste comprises dark malts, umami, chocolate shavings, roasted bite, mellow rum barrel, dates, raisins.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light rising booze trail.
Tidy enough BA impy, old skool like and not loaded with juncts.
