Clear copper color with off white head. Medium strength aroma. Smells like a barn full of wet hay. The smell seems to be both the bad and good aromas that would come from a barn. After tasting it and can tell they were shooting for a peaty flavor. What I taste is a bit too much Melanoidin Malts maybe. If it is peated malts then it seems like wet soggy peat rather than smoky. I do pick up on a little bit of sweet caramel malts and not much in the way of hops.

This fruit beer has a unbelievable blueberry scent to it. To the nose there is not much more than jam to the nose. It pours a light clear yellow with a bright white head. First sip is a little sweet but full of blueberry flavour. The beer itself is a little weak and a bit watery but it isn’t the worst I have ever had. Good for 1 or 2 on a hot afternoon.

Bottle: Poured a bright yellow color ale with a huge bubbly white head with minimal retention. Aroma of blueberry syrup is quite intense. Taste is dominated by the cheap blueberry extract with a weak malt base and little or no hops. I guess this is just another weak fruit beer to add to the collection.

Bottle. Clear amber colour with an off-white head. Fruity malty aroma with hints of tea. Fruity malty flavor with some hints of caramel. Has a sweet mouthfeel. Sweet malty finish with some bitterness.

Bottled. BB 05/2007 Golden yellow color, small but firm creamy head. Fresh hoppy nose with tobacco notes. In the flavor cascade hops are evident. Lemony hoppy, almost like lemon juice would have been added here. Feels more than 5,3% (as my bottle claimed). Ok beer but could have more soul.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s Kidlington. Orangey colour with a tinge of sourness on the nose, tasted of not much really fruit concentrate and water shan’t be having this again.

50cl bottle from Sainsbury. Not surprisingly, I prefer the cask version. This is just so unrelated and non-integrated I can’t believe it. Fruits of the forest with some wondering minstrel of a beer passing it by. I wouldn’t mind having this as a mouth wash at the dentist. Some vanilla, some hop on end. But fruit flavours go wandering about by themselves with no malt base to attach themselves too. Fruit/vanilla concoction is nice, but overall, I really would prefer to gargle with it than have to drink it.

Pours dark amber into a shaker. Citrus, pine, bandaid and resin notes. Significant micro head that convexes above the rim and leaves plaster of lacing. Thin with upfront malt bandaid flavors and a lasting bitter bandaid finish. Didn’t really detect anything other than bandaids..ah, well.

(bottle) Pale amber colour with a lacing mid-sized slightly off-white foam. Floral hop aroma with toasted malt and orange-fruity notes. Bittersweet flavour, aromatic dry and slightly fruity hoppy and soft caramel-malty taste; medium bodied, smooth and almost creamy mouthfeel; moderately dry and bitter finish. Balanced and tasty.

[Bottled] (BB 05/2007). Dark ruby red color, small creamy tan head, some lace. Bready roasted malty nose. Toffeish palate, roasted malty, burnt brown sugar flavors. Not very alcoholic.
