Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a slightly clear amber color. Some transparency and with a finger and a half’s worth of white foamy head. Fairly quick on the dissipation. Sly lace.
The aroma had a decent blend of malt and spice. Somewhat cinnamon to allspice with a caramel/toffee/toast/biscuit quality about it.
The flavor blended the spice to the malty sweetness fairly nice. Mildly blended on into the aftertaste and freely flowing into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, what’s not to like on a cold Winter’s night, yeah, I know, it’s Spring now, but if I could get this again, I’d have it again in the Winter.

At the source: pours deep gold with white head. Aroma is citrus, flowers, and malt. Taste is bitter and kind of sweet at the finish. Nice body. Pretty pleasant beer. Getting some pine in the taste. Not bad.

At the spurce: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is flowers and musk and some funk. Taste is somewhat sweet; maybe more than I would want. A bit funky. Kind of fruity. Maybe some berries. Not a bad saison. Pleasant.

At the source: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is grainy and a little musky. Taste is lightly bitter and not too sweet. Sort of kolsch like aftertaste. Not really much in the apple taste one would expect.

Mörkrostad färg. Doftar lite kemiskt å mycket druv jos annorlunda. Smakar så långt ifrån West Coast stil man kan tänka sig. Tung fyllig i gommen å mycket jordkällare . Smakar verkligen microöl ingen filtrering här inte. . Spännande öl som skulle behövt jämföras med andra. God eftersmak. Slutligen Kul udda öl som inte kan sägas vara fräsch påminner om Leafner Madness.

750ml bottle pours an opaque, thick black with some lacing, creamy, tan head. Nose has what you’d expect, licorice, molasses, some very dark raisins, some pencil lead, burnt caramel, a little tar, toast. Flavor follows right along, burnt caramel, black licorice, malt, toast, some mild coffee grounds, some raisin, some pencil lead, roast. Full bodied, sticky, roasty finish. This is a very well made beer.

At a tasting, thanks zvikar, smallish head, a touch hazy darkish orange color, woddy earthy aroma with some roots, bready flavor wit a little coarse bitterness. Not too interesting and a bit old.
