12 oz. bottle courtesy of Tripplebrew. Served cellar temperature in an English pint. Black as a raven in color with fast diminishing, tan head. Mild lace. Nicely intense roasted malt and chocolate aroma’s. Nice flavors of Milk chocolate, vanilla and a light hop to balance the sweetness. Some lactose sugar. Mouthfeel is creamy. Body is a tad lacking, ABV is only lightly noticeable. Overall a well-executed sweet stout. Not overly sweet.

Hanger Room Firkin Fest, October 2011. Brown and opaque. Moderate hops with unprocessed grain. It is drinkable enough, but the bitter grain quality does not appeal to me.

Hanger Room Firkin Fest, October 2011. Cloudy yellow with a tall white head. Powerful hops. Light sweetness, but I cannot detect the honey. The hops are more intense than I remembered.

Pours a hazy, golden yellow. Some floral and hop aromas. Flavor is full of hop bitterness, with not much else to balance. Not the greatest IPA.

Pours a light, golden yellow, with a very thick head (threatens to overflow the glass). Aroma rather muted, of hops and floral notes. Flavor is all piney hops, with a smooth, sweet finish and only a small amount of bitterness.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of Tripplebrew. Notch on label has APR, Wk 2. Used a shaker. Massive head and retention. ( spider web lacing ) Nose of malt and citrus hop. The malt gives it a biscuit, dough like quality. This is on the sweeter side for an IPA. And I like that attribute. This could be an everyday drinker, (if I lived in Wisconsin.) Nice.

Draft. Hazy golden-tan. Thin, oily head. Astringent hoppy aroma. Pretty smooth and clean for a IIPA. Soapy hops. Solid golden malt bill. OK.

From a firkin at The Hanger Room Firkin Festival, October 29, 2011. This beer was one of the highlights of the event. It has good palate for a brown ale. Brown color with some red, from the fruit I assume. The pomegranate is in there, and gives a sour fruit taste. The tea is also well done. The combination of flavors also creates some chocolate taste. A little sweet from the malt with the pomegranate sweetness, and the herbal quality of the tea makes this Rush River’s best beer to date.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange color with some small floaters and a large creamy orange-white that left some lacing. The aroma was nutty caramel with undertones of butterscotch, wood and vague tangy fruits. The flavor was sweetish nutty caramel and light fruity hops. Long finish, medium body. Decent.

From a bottle. Yea, fruity almost floral aroma, sweet like some flowers and olfactory goes cloying aftera few moments. Cloudy light iced tea color. Strong malty initial alky flavors. Smooth on the palate, very little co2. If this is a amber ale, its a little different fer sure. Difficult at times for this lager lover. Finish is a little tuff to deal with.
