Ye olde can from LCB. It pours deep holds with a decent white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, doughy white bread, biscuity, old grain, touch oxidised, soft fruitiness, pear, melon and hint of citrus. The taste is crispy, dry, fairly sweet on the malt base, doughy bread, rich tea biscuit, apple, pear, melon type fruits, touch of grain and weak floral accents with a dryish finish. Average body and moderate carbonation. An average blonde ale by all accords... A touch sweet maybe. The age doesn't appear to have affected it too much. Fair.

Wee can from LCB shared with my bro. It pours clear darkest brown with a small frothy beige head. The aroma is heady and sweet, intoxicating maple, maple glazed donut, earthy roast, American coffee, just a touch of blueberry jam, plain chocolate and charred action. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, juicy, roasted malt, toasty, ripe tangy blueberry, blueberry jam, maple drilled pancakes and light char with a toasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not much depth tbh, but the balance is actually quite nice. Really not bad.

Can from a Costco. Pours dark brown with red highlights against the light, large foamy tan head, coffee aroma, low carbonation, medium bitter mocha latte-roasted malt taste, bit of lactose, smooth body, long mocha finish. Smooth and tasty.

12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a cloudy dark gold color with a very large khaki head and great retention. Lots of streaming bubbles and lots of sediment too. Fair lacing. Dark orange fruit aroma, as advertised. The orange flavor is subtle, mixed with a basic bready body. A little bland overall. Nothing bad, but the flavors never seem to come together. Medium body. Low carbonation. Low/no bitterness. I expected to like it more. It's okay.

12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours a hazy gold color with a white head and fair retention. Decent lacing. Souring hops aroma. Tastes like piney hops that went bad. Not a good mix of flavors. Thankfully not overly bitter. Medium body and medium carbonation. Why would you ruin a good lager with added hops? Not a fan. At least the 6.3% ABV is well hidden.

OK, a cheap can from vintage estate. It pours pretty much clear pale with some co2 constantly rising within. Nose is typical cheap sweet flavored shandy, not too artificial. Taste is dull, not as sharp as a flavored shandy should be. Yes, its almost strawberry in there if you look for it but for the most part its not a real like-able brew. Comes across more like a dull fruit flavored brew. There, you have it. Not impressed.

440ml can. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a short-lived, frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, light blueberry. The flavour is light liqourice bitter, with a dry, light tart blueberry, light floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. I’ve no idea where the maple syrup was hiding.

Quite sweet. It’s got the maple syrup, it’s got the blueberry. It’s nice, but a bit artificial tasting. And perhaps a bit much for a whole can. Only a touch of stout characteristics lingering in the background. I kind of like it, but at the same time it’s pretty weird.

Spotty beige head on a clear amber coloured body. Nominal aroma of malt & wet cardboard. Medium bodied, soft on the tongue with a tingle. Syrup, raspberry jam, herbal & weirdly Fisherman's Friends tastes. Bizarre - that is so strange.
