Bouteille 500 ml. Levure fruit?e et expressive. notes de gomme balloune, de fleurs sauvages, de vieille terre et ,oh surprise choux bouillis et caoutchouc. Ces ind?sirables ne sortent qu?au tournis mais rendent cet olfactif assez r?pulsif. Une mousse g?n?reuse et rocailleuse recouvre le liquide dor? tr?s clair et effervescent. Le caoutchouc et les choux persistent en bouche. Tr?s d?sagr?able. Le d?faut domine totalement . Surprenant venant de cette brasserie d?excellente r?putation. Je me r?serve une r??valuation. R??valu?e le 17 novembre 2016: Toujours les m?mes d?fauts. C?est vraiment la batch qui est en cause. Un cas de rappel; si la brasserie tient ? sa r?putation.

A hazed golden wit with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light banana esters, mineral notes, light boiled veggies, so-so. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, faint bananas, watery bodied, boring... On tap at Festibière de Gatineau 2016.

A reddish copper ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, light maple notes, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with vinous notes, burned maple syrup, woody notes, alcohol warmth, very nice and like raw sap or dark maple syrup. On tap at St Bock.

Bottle: Poured a dark copper color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and some light lacing. Aroma of sweet honey notes with caramelized malt, nice toffee notes and some light dry fruits notes are also noticeable. Taste is also a good mix of caramelized malt with some nice toffee notes with light dry raisins notes with a sweet finale of honey notes. Body is pretty full with medium carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Superb take on the style and something I would love top have again.

Cask at Mondial de la bière Montréal 2015. An unclear, red colored beer topped by a small, off-white head. Berries dominates the aroma, with a light funky touch, some spiced notes and pale malts in the back. There’s a faint wort touch in th flavor, with pale malts and some spiced yeast and some funky hints, but the berries dominates. Medium body, quite soft on the palate, with a berry-dominated finish. Far from bad in any way, but very unusual, borderline weird. 150611

Risquons ici une comparaison avec la version Bilboquet du même brasseur 4 ans plus tard. La nouvelle version présente un olfactif beaucoup plus fruité avec des fruits confits, du jujube, des cerises au marasquin et des mures. Le caramel est détectable mais en sourdine et les bananes sont disparues. L’alcool est toujours très présent mais s’équilibre bien avec le reste. Une petite mousse beige coiffe un liquide brun aux tons rougeâtres. La coiffe est effervescente et fuit rapidement. L’entrée de bouche présente en équilibre fruits et caramel, accompagné d’une chaleur d’alcool moins agressive que la version précédente. Une amertume légèrement terreuse additionnée d’alcool vient titiller l’arrière bouche en finale. Perception également de notes de grains. de noisettes. Les fruits sont moins définis en bouche qu’au nez. L’alcool est aussi prenant en bouche que la version précédente. Beaucoup de corps. Texture corpulente sans être lourde. Effervescence modérée. Cette version m’apparait plus raffinée que ce que j’avais bu il y a 4 ans.
