My nose is a little stuffy so I don’t smell much coffee. Big black oily presentation, no head. First taste yeilds barely any carbonation. Comes across rude as bitter black cold coffee can be. Strong black morning coffee that was on the burner for awhile then chilled and served. CXan’t really tell there is alky in there due to the black coffeedness. Finish is same as session.

Peircing sharp off orange or unique, not quite citrus, olfactory. Lots of gunk on the bottom of the bottle. Pour is big foggy wheat beer and its hazy pale. Half inch thick off white head. First taste is weird banana and spices, in an interesting way. Not much alky is apparent on the taste buds. Creamy carbonation fades rapidly. Chewey wheaty experience. Finish? well...typical mild hefe well mannered friendly forfront. More like a hefe than a wit; but either way pretty good.

First let me say that I am generally repulsed by IPA. So ignore my numbers. Typical pale lager IPA color. Smell is perfumy like there are lots of hops in there. Thicker viscous first palate impressions. Tadte is settling into a big oily grapefruit rind or pine sap tar impression. At first not sure what to think then it does the thinking for you. IPA, almost DIPA territory. Rude crude but unfortunately not nude to the the lager lahver. Like a harley that wont start, it contunues to annoy me. Finish is medium long bitter nastiness that penetrating every aspect of the surface area on my tongue.

So what’s with the name? Rowhouse, you know the stereotype associated with rowhouses. Like, I live in Aliquippa man. Perhaps this is a liberal improvement plan that made something good out of a rowhouse? Must have been a lotta money thrown into this littly effective brew? I wonder why Philly took so long getting their beers out here in yinzer land. Smell is a tad hoppy. Taste comes across a little perfumy. Looks like iced tea was mixed with a clear pale lager. Hah, it says its a de mars but is it really a a specialty grain? Unknown and not qualified to say so. At 5% it comes across that way. A mildly hoppy ale to say the least. Watery at times. Weird, dull hoppy finish as if it was lagered. Does have some carbonation in there but it fades rapidly after you take a gulp. Essentually goes flat after you get it in your mouth. Overall, a half decent beer experience. Looking forward to tasting the rest of the variety sixpack from this PA brewer.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a red-brown color with a small beige head. The aroma was lightly fruity and nutty. The flavor was bitter, fruity and had a light sour caramel and nut element. The finish was long, bitter, fruity and a bit rough. Medium body. Eh.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very pale yellow color with an enormous foamy yellow-white head that lasts forever. The aroma was musty, earthy and had notes of cardboard, egg and citrus. The flavor was citric, tart and bitter with notes of musty vinegar. Citric finish. Very overcarbonated. A below average wit.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a golden color with a small white head. The aroma was tangy basic lager without a whole lot going on. The flavor was tangy, bitter and had a light floral hop presence. There was a long bitter and tangy finish. Eh.
