Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a large creamy dark tan head. The aroma was dry, bitter and roasty coffee. The flavor was dry, roasty, toasty and bitter with fairly strong coffee and a touch of cream. The finish was medium length dry and bitter. A bit thin in body but smooth. Solid.

Sampled on draft at Fat Head’s in Pittsburgh PA this beer poured a red-caramel color with a large beige head. The aroma was sweet fruity hops without anything else going on. The flavor was dryish, bitter and had moderate floral and vaguely fruity hops. No malt backbone to speak of. Medium length dry and hoppy finish. Medium body. A bit disappointing.

On tap at Friday the Firkenteenth at the Grey Lodge Pub. Pours a translucent copper amber with a frothy white head. Grassy aroma, floral hops, grains. Flavor is a mix of citrus hops and caramel sweetness. Right at the end a sickly vegetal flavor creeps in. Slightly bitter finish.

On tap at Friday the Firkenteenth at the Grey Lodge Pub. Pours a translucent, purpleish red with a thin, creamy white head. Aroma is all berries, mostly the fake, jarred jam kind. Flavor is the same, overly sweet, berries, jelly. Crisp, sweet finish. My girlfriend liked it, but for me it wasn’t quite authentic.

7th August 2008. On tap at GBBF. Very fruity IPA. Not bitter. Silky palate. Just a touch fruitier than a lot of IPAs.

Sampled on draft at D’s Monroeville this beer poured a hazy orange-amber color with a medium sized head that faded quickly. The aroma as mild perfumey, grapefruity and piney hops. The flavor was tart and very bitter with moderate perfumey, floral and grapefruity hops. The finish was long and perfumey. Not too impressive.
