Brasserie Caulier

Established in 1996
In the early 1990s, Roger and Linda decided to market their own beer: a custom-made high fermentation blonde. The Bon Secours was born! These were promising beginnings but they still dreamt of creating their own brewery. A dream which became reality when they bought the machinery from the Deneve brewery in Schepdaal and inaugurated the first brew in 1996!
In 2007, the NV Brasserie Caulier was declared bankrupt. At the beginning of 2008, the activities were transferred to a private limited company of the sons of Roger Caulier, who subsequently adopted the name Brasserie et Distillerie Caulier. As of 2012, Laurent, Bertrand and Vincent joined their parents in the adventure. In order to respond to the growing demand for its products, in 2018 the Brewery began a large multi-annual programme of investments with the goal of tripling its production capacity. The historical Brewing House has been extended, new fermentation and storage tanks have been added, and the bottling line has been modernised.

Cloudy, (light) brown color, medium creamy lasting head. Aroma is malty, nutty, cookie. Taste is caramel malty and a bit sweet, with a sirupy body. I prefer a creamy body with such a tasty beer. Medium lasting palate.

The aroma is very sweet with notes of sugar, yeast - a lovely complex aroma. The color is an unclear brown and it has a beutiful light brown head. The flavor is sweet, yeasty, and soft with notes of rich fruit and plums. The alcohol prickles the tongue. It ends on a slight bitterness - a very nice beer.

The aroma is slightly fruity with notes of anise and an OK sweetness. The color is an unclear dark amber with a fanstastic lasting head. The flavor though is somewhat boring with notes of spices - is it anise? It has some sweetness but no bitterness - instead it has a woodyness, that lingers on the tongue. The flavor becomes better and better the more You drink. It has a really good palate.

The aroma is a powerful lemon and anise aroma - very fresh, slightly sweet with hints of ginger - a very inviting aroma. The beer is a unclear dark yellow with a fantastic head. The flavor rounded, slightly sweet with powerful notes spices - is it anise? It has been fermented in the bottle with candy sugar added.

Bottled. Muddy nut brown. Acidic cherry aroma. Sweet and dusty with notes of caramel. Malty and refreshing, despite being sugary.

Bottled. Pale orange, lively and cloudy. Strong aroma of peach, toffee and cheese crackers. Medium sweet. Fruity and yeasty with soft maltiness. Real corny and very tasty.

citrussy, grassy woody aroma. Opaque dark brown watch out for the yeast. Sweet malt basis. Citrus flavors and some licorice. Medium body. Weakish finish.

Citrussy. amber, cloudy, head diminushes quickly. Pretty neutral/bland. Generally boring blonde.

Cloudy golden color. Some hop and malt in the aroma, candi sugar. Pretty sweet, malty, equilibrated in all, a background fruity note (banana...). Palate and hop are just right. Dangerous.
