Bottled. It had a Guinness Crown cork. Cloudy, orange-colored gueuze with some white bubbles on the top. Apples, hay and wheat in the aroma. Flavor is quite tart and citric, and mostly apples. Thin, astringent mouthfeel. A decent beer, but it could use a bit more sting. (060616)

375 ml bottle. Hazy orange, pale color. Discreet white head. Acid, fruity aroma. Nice refreshing and sour body. Not particular complex for a Gueuze and also a bit too sweet aftertaste. No matter how, a fresh well tasting beginner beer as an introduction for the wonderful world of sexy beers in the ambic family.

Draught Quite clear, deep red body. No head off-course. Sirupy sweet cherry aroma with some hints of wood. Lightly sour, lightly sweet initial flavour. Moderately sour, light sweet finish. Not bad, I wonder what they do with it to get such sweet krieks. Still not as full cherry flavour as De Cam, but still a good attempt.

Draught Burgundy red; slight haze; no head. Pressed fruit juice, krieken, and a bit of vinegar, pickles-like. Soft, downplayed sourness, as if the acetic acid has been masked. Fruity enough, and a green peas flavour. Mouthpuckering taste after alle, not really thick. Surprising, as if there’s something underneath that is not quite what it looks... Acetobacter for sure.

25 cl bottle. Nice red color with pink massive pink head. Artificial cherry candy aroma. Taste like sweet cherry syrup. This is too much of the sweet stuff, not balanced with the sourness of a true classic kriek. Medium body and with too much carbonation. Long, not so very pleasant aftertaste. This beer gives kriek a bad reputation, more like an alcopop.

Draught, served in a clay pitcher. Weak cidery aroma. Dark orange/copper colour. No head. Quite sweet flavour, cidery appleish. Not sour. Once you get used to the sweetness, the acidity comes out a bit, but it does not really do it for me. Not very highly carbonated.

Dark golden faro with a thick collapsing white head. Pleasant aroma of green apples, light barnyard, and acid points. In mouth, acidic and sweet, with definite tart apples and some cherries, a bit earthy, but very tame. Bottle from Bieropholie.
