Description
Timmermans has kept the tradition of the true lambic alive for over 300 years now. This unique beer, made with 30% wheat, is brewed in Itterbeek, in the oldest active lambic brewery. At its origin is a miracle: micro-organisms in the air of the Senne valley end up in the wort and cause spontaneous fermentation. This is why a true lambic is brewed only within a 15 km radius of Brussels, in the area known as Pajottenland. Since 1993, Martin’s Finest Beer Selection has been proud to preserve this authentic part of Belgium’s beer heritage.

Draught at Bishops Arms (Avenyn) in Gothenburg.Honey golden color, big fluffy lasting white head. Overwhelming peach sweet scent. Sweet peach flavor. It’s indeed very sweet, but I like it, especially for drinking when thirsty.

Rating added 1/27/2006Very acid in smell and taste, but just right, not too much. Copper in color. The type of lambic I would recommend to wine and cider drinkers that think they don’t like beer. Tried it from a bottle at "Pannrummet Kök & Bar" on January 27.7/4/7/4/12=3.4

First ratingInitial Rating Date: 1/27/2006Sort of acidic taste, but not very much. Dark yellow in color, sweet and acidic scent.7/4/6/3/13=3.3Rerate33 cl bottle thanks to Ingo! Sampled on January 4, 2013. BB 16/09/10.Clear golden color, small white head. Sweet, wort, acidic scent. Bottled. Colour is something between amber and ruby red, mediumsized reddish white head. Aroma is strongly cherry, with notes of almond. The same in flavour, surprisingly sweetish for a Timmermans, but some sourness also exists. In my opinion very lovely and refreshing! A bit watery palate, but doesn’t ruin the whole.

Bottled. Red colour, decent white foamy head, which disappears almost completely. Bitter cherry aroma. Metallic, bitter flavour with hints of cherry. Sweetish bitter finish. Leaves mouth sticky. I prefer Lindeman’s Kriek.

Bottled. Golden colour, minor head. Sweet plummy and caramellish aroma. Flavour is sweet flavoured (artificial, sweet white wine extreme) along with some hints of caramel and fruity sweetness. Aftertaste long and dry. Surprisingly non-sour for a Timmermans...

Golden lambic with a thick white head. Lactic aroma with sharp lemon notes. Very nice lemony points come out. Rather nice but simple, and unidimensional. Bought at Metro, Brussels, late april 2005.

Bottle Clear, red body. Pink, creamy head. Good lace. Fruity aroma (cherry syrupe). Sweet flavour and not very interesting.
Earlier Rating: 6/12/2004 Total Score: 3.4
Pink creamy head, mostly diminishing. Deep red body. Cherry aroma (sweet-sour), lightly horseblanket-aroma, some yoghurt too. Lightly sweet, lightly acidic initial flavour. Lightly sweet (short) finish. The flavour is not very well-balanced.

Gold-amber, clear beer; fluffy head huge upon pouring, stabilising itself at 3-4 cm. Oppressive estery peaches nose, more-artificial-you-die. Ye olde alternatively butmoneyey perfumey toilet shoppe. Bweuh! Sweet, sweet beverage, with a backthroat taste that so desperately doesn’t want to be sourish, that is becomes unqualifyable. Fruity - well, from fruits designed by a marketing agency. Slightly titillating MF, but ending near-syrupy. Still probably its ’best’ feature. Oh dear. Lambic-Fruit indeed.
