Draught Small lacey rim over utterly muddy pineapple juice-like beer. Stonefruit, asafoetida, other exotic fruit. Nectarines, peach, faint bitterish succulents. Good sweet-bitterr balance, with just a hint at fruitacidity. Medium bodied, yet quite filled feel; good carbonation. Pretty standard, nothing amiss.

Draught Fully clear (darker) golden beer, utterly still with a mineral rim. Very little nose, bit herbal. As utterly in opposition to the nose, bursting with herbal flavours and indeed, exactly pickle herbs, cucumber, coriander, even dill seeds. Light body, with acidthinning and faint -burn. Utterly original. But would you drink 2 of these?

Tap at Billies. Clear golden. Dill, cucumber, sour grains. Medium sour, light bitter. Some popcorn kettle sour notes. Meh. To be fair, this is by far the best pickle beer I've ever had, but that really doesn't say much because it's still pickle beer. It's sort of drinkeable though, and the dill comes out nice.

Tap at Billies. Deep hazy light yellow. Super juicy hops, peach, grapes, oats, soft floral and lime. Over medium sweet, light bitter. Solid medium body. Tasty.

7/10
On tap at Billie's Craft Beer Festival. A hoppy pilsner, dry and piney in the direction of a pale ale, but with typical pilsner character and crisp malts. Quite refreshing, but not very exciting. Prefer a well-brewed German style pilsner any day. 647413 251107

On tap at Billie's Craft Beer Festival. 2024 vintage. Fruity-sour, dry and refreshing. Light funk and oak. A nice beer, but a bit dull I think. 646413 251107

[33cl can on the Interislander Ferry, NZ] A straw coloured pour with a lasting white head; grainy aroma; sickly sweet with some lemon and maize; and a very watery finish.
