Can. Brownish amber with a good cm of pale beige head. Aroma of berries, orange, glossy buns behind. The malt is just that brown sugary glaze and whilst the hops are nice it feels insubstantial. Tidy bitterness. OK.

Can. Clear copper, off white head is soon less than a coat. Stern malty aroma with singed caramel, breadcrust, hints of dried fruit, spices. Full bodied, lowish carbonation. Restrained dark sugar and bready sweetness balanced by roasted and modest hop bitterness. Pretty good.

Can. Dark brown, a cm of light tan head. 6+ Subdued pine and stonefruit aroma with some mocha and spice. Creamy texture, only medium bodied. Bread and mocha at first with some sweetness then fruit, pine and rye (and Kveik) -tinged spices burst through towards the bitter end. Good with a great finish.

440ml can from Benny’s Place, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a slightly hazy golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy, light strawberry. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a smooth, somewhat rich, juicy strawberry, creamy vanilla palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A bit of a gimmick beer, but not so bad and thankfully not a sugar bomb.
