Had this at Chez Moeder Lambic St Gillies, Brussels, Belgium 17.12.11 Pours dark chestnut in colour with a light beige filmy head. There is a rather assertive bitterness, backed up with some citrus flavours and a good malty backbite. An interesting diversion from the many wonderful Belgian beers and more in the style of a decent hoppy UK bitter. Good stuff! A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.4

Cloudy orange beer, creamy yellowish head, bit stable, irregular bubbles, bit adhesive. Aroma: very spicy, lots of elderflower, fresh herbs, flowers, touch of honey. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: grains, some honey, citrus fruits, very bitter hops, grassy, piny. Aftertaste: very dry bitter, resinous.

Draft @ Moeder Lambic, Fontainas. Another little Italian gem from yet another surprise to come out of the ever growing Italian craft beer scene. Brune foncée, col épais moka/café au lait. Arôme de grains, malt chocolaté assez simple, le tout avec un houblon en retrait qui offre un profile houblonné/citronné léger. En bouche, une bière légère avec un beau malt grillé, chocolaté avec une pointe de lactose, le tout reste doux avec cette impression de poudre de cacao. Comme pour l’arôme, une touche finale rajoute une fine amertume qui va vers un houblon citronné. Une bonne bière légère mais dont le profile houblonné a tendance à prendre le dessus sur un profile chocolaté et lactose que j’attendais comme plus en avant. Reste néanmoins une très belle découverte.

Bottle from Domus Birrae. Purs hazy dark amber with a foamy beige head. Aroma is strong caramel with herbal hop. Flavor is pretty much the same. The hop is strong enough toproved a light "burn". Gets a bit of dark fruit in the finish.

Cask at Open Baladin. Pours dark brown with garnet hilites and a creamy tan head. Strong dark roast malt aroma. Med body. Flavor is dark roasted/toasted malt with chocolate and a little coffee. And some more chocolate in the finish. Rather mild, but very tasty.

Bottle form Domus Birrae. Pours hazy amber with a beige head. Piney/floral/fruity aroma. Med body. Flavor is mild caramel with piney, floral and fruity hop. Rather com;plex hop. Excellent.

Bottle form Domus Birrae. Pours amber brown with a transient whiteish head. Aroma is arguably floral. Med body. Flavor is herbal/floral with some notably roasted caramel. Other than the malt level I think it’s off style.

Bottle from Domus Birrae. Pours hazy orange gold with a slight cramy off-white head. Citrus aroma. flavor is fairly citrus and it fiinishes bitter.Flavorful for a golden ale.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty weak hoppy aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with weak hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty caramel finish with hoppy hints in the aftertaste.

bottle from Gradi Plato, Rome. Deecent white head which fades quickly. Slightly hazy blond pour. Nice subtle bitterness. very nice ipa!
