Always a bit of a worry when the label says "hoppy pils". I mean, yes? Can. Gold. An inch of white head. Floral and herbal with some berries & tropical notes, light bread. Fairly sweet and nearly too fruity, but a herbal & floral punch towards the fairly bitter end keep things sufficiently pils-like.

Can. Very dark brown with a fat coat of tan head. Sweet coffee, caramel and roast aroma. Less sweet than expected with firm coffee and roast. Smooth but the lactose is not obvious. The maple adds some character and does that thing where its woodiness helps dry out the end a bit. Good. A combination of Maple Heist and normal Affogato Stout that's better than either.

A near perfect WCIPA. Aromas of pine, grapefruit and bread. A soft mouthfeel hides the 9% alcohol and highlights the pine and citrus notes, plus a tiny bit of white pepper. Just can't get enough of it.

(Can) Pours hazy amber with good white head. Orange and tropical fruit aroma. Medium body with plenty of bright carbonation. Good taste. Plenty of tangy fruit up front - orange and tropical. Herbal and peppery flavours develop through the palate. Some moderate bitterness in the finish. Some caramel malt in the background. Very enjoyable.

Can. Very dark brown, a wisp of tan head dissipates immediately. Mocha and stewed plum aroma with vanilla and old fortified wine notes. Just short of syrupy, low carbonation. Sweet but bitterness and oak counter, making the roast more prominent than the mocha and plums at first. The fortified notes are fruity but also a little papery.

Can. Cloudy orange amber with a torrent of carbonation and a large, spider-like white head. Aroma of citrus, twiggy herbs, bread, some tropical fruit. Kveik seems involved. Dryish with some tropical fruit but more orange and twiggy herbal notes. Moderately bitter.

Aromas of lime, orange peel, pine needles and pineapple set it up nicely, but the taste lacks a little guts.

Can. Fairly pale gold with an inch of white head. Aroma of melon, barely ripe tropical fruit and berries, hints of pine, crackers. Perhaps a tad sweeter than I guessed but with nice fruit and crackery malt before a finish that's as much drying as bitter. Some interesting woody notes at the end. Pretty good.

Can. Clear pale gold with a 2cm white head. Clean cracker, herb and floral aroma. Sweet and not overly focussed malt flavours but with decent herbal bitterness. A little leaner would have suited me better but fair enough.

Can from Carwyn Cellars. Pours slight unclear deep amber with beige foam. Aroma: smoked malt, smoked ham, caramel, umami. Taste: super clean, light to moderate sweet & moderate bitter, decent layered smoky vibes, nicely balanced. Medium body with soft carbonation. Very nice indeed.
