Description
Our brewery started life up in Morpeth, Northumberland, back in 2012. One name change later, we settled on being called Anarchy Brew Co. and started brewing our core beers, packed with flavour that we still make today (Blonde Star and Citra Star). After running out of room at the old site, we decided we needed somewhere bigger. And in October we moved to new digs in Newcastle upon Tyne, where you’ll find us today. The new Anarchy brewery opened its doors in October 2018 in Walkergate, with the added bonus of our new taproom.

Murky amber gold, looks like soup or dishwater tbh, with a bubbly/frothy off-white head. Soft tropical fruit on the nose, smooth and creamy with sweet fruity notes and hints of hop bitterness, maybe could do with being a little bit more extreme (anarchic)

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Covent Garden, London, 19 Nov 2023) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with grass, citrus and tropical fruit. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of grass, citrus, tropical fruit, biscuits and a mild grassy bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Smooth and refreshing. Quite nice.

Half-pint, well kept cask ale at Lady Grey's, shared with Finn. Near-black in the glass, a ruby shade to it. Covering beige head, spotty lacing. Roasted on the nose, with grainy chocolate. Impacts of chocolate and dark fruit to the taste profile. Lightly roasted end with a coffee twist. Pleasing. (Newcastle upon Tyne, 19.03.2024).
