Description
Our brewery started life up in Morpeth, Northumberland, back in 2012. One name change later, we settled on being called Anarchy Brew Co. and started brewing our core beers, packed with flavour that we still make today (Blonde Star and Citra Star). After running out of room at the old site, we decided we needed somewhere bigger. And in October we moved to new digs in Newcastle upon Tyne, where you’ll find us today. The new Anarchy brewery opened its doors in October 2018 in Walkergate, with the added bonus of our new taproom.

Can from Drankenspeciaalzaak Jelle, Leeuwarden. Aroma is sweetish malt, resinous hops, pine resin, ripe fruits including citrus, spruce, notes of caramel. Flavour is rather sweet with an above medium bitterness. Body is above medium. Okay IIPA, fairly resinous, but lacks some oomph and depth.

330ml can, pours brown with a white head. Aromas & tastes of bread, spice, rich fruit, alcohol & sweet malt. Moderate to medium body. Sweet somewhat alcoholic finish. Enjoyable but not really a Belgium triple

Hand-pulled half-pint in Beer O'clock, Whitby on Saturday 18th January 2025. Slight haze in the golden body, white head. Another citrussy brew using Citra hops, it's fine, I'm just bored with them now.

A good-looking hazy brown with a thick head, and crisp brown ale malts. Caramel good in aroma, notable in taste too.

Cask by stillage at One Inn The Wood, Petts Wood on 15th January 2025. Hazy pale amber with shallow white foam and full lacing. Pungent aroma. Citrusy in-mouth with sweetened peel. A finish of mango-led tropical fruitiness, overlaid by citrus zest. Medium bodied with a soft, pithy texture.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers! Aroma is tropical fruits, coconut, grapefruit and pineapple. Orange zest also comes through on the taste. A bit carbonated. Nice.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers! Aroma is a bit soapy, floral, toffee and a touch of herbs. Taste is candied sugar with a warm alcoholic kick. Some caramel and floral notes mixed in. The heat of the alcohol lingers. Not bad.
