Keg at Big Rig Brewery, Ottawa. Clear golden, mid sized head. Spicy citrusy nose. Dry with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with some butter, spice and citrus. Mid bitter finish with some saccharine. Was hoping for a fuller malt character. Hops are dominant here. Quite nice, anyway.

Keg at Big Rig Brewery, Ottawa. Cloudy pale straw colour, rich head. Distinct aroma of cloves, mashed banana and mustard seeds. Dry with light body and clean, spritzy mouthfeel. Overripe banana and cloves dominate. Low bitterness. Lack of malt softness, which is a key feature for the style.

Nice, deep malt profile. Good drinkability. Like a top fermented Dortmunder. My favourite from this brewer.

This amber ale poured a medium amber colour with a minimal, off white head. Minimal lacing. Scents include a little cooked veggies, honey and soda water. First swig was a little thin but nice tasting. Flavours of honey, sweet malts and a little bread. Finish was malty with that lingering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
