473ml can. Pours an opaque dark brown, almost black with a medium, creamy, long lasting, tan head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet, spicy aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, molasses, cinnamon, ginger and coffee. Sweet flavour of chocolate malt, lactose, ginger, toffee and cinnamon in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light to medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. I was hoping for a little more spice. Too sweet for me.

473ml can. Pours an opaque dark brown, almost black with a small, foamy, short lived, beige head that laces. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, lactose, pumpkin and clove in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a thin, watery texture and average carbonation. Meh, too sweet, too thin and lacks any roasted malt.

This stout poured a deep black colour with a light brown head. Nice lacing. Scents include gingerbread, molasses, dough, light coffee and slight cocoa. First swig was really good. Not overpowering in the gingerbread portion. Flavours of gingerbread, cocoa, coffee roasted malts. Finish is burnt with dark roast coffee and light gingerbread flavour lingering.

Can Shakedown Awakening that pours a slightly unfiltered golden colour, with a big frothy-creamy warm head, good retention and lots of foamy lacing. Fresh citrus aromas from the Citra hops, so more of an East-Coast smell. Some floral notes do come out with very light caramel malts. The flavours are hoppy, with some piney notes as in the West Coast-style, but fairly mild overall. Some decent bitterness, and dryness that lingers. A nice IPA with the West Coast look and flavours, but a nose of East Coast, with hints in the taste.
