Black Friday in Ft. Worth at the Total Wine provided the opportunity to purchase a 22 oz bottle of Therapist. Out of several beers purchased, this was the only bomber, they continue to disappear. Sign of the times I can only assume. The label indicates bottling on 5/27/20 meaning this bottle needs to be opened and consumed. My ABGB tulip glass is arrayed for this tasting, I lift the cap and make the pour. The liquid is a determined opaque, medium yellow with a fair covering of solidly white foam. A decent scent, I get hay, pine and citrus, no surprises. And the taste, ah, definitely a step forward. Old school west coast aggressive bitterness with lemon, a tangerine sweetness, pine, grain, hops and some pineapple. I like the heartiness of the elevated ABV, lends some depth. Good.

Can from the Monterey venue. Pours coppery gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is quite tropical with mildly roasty malt. Melon. Med body. Quite juicy. Melon. Passion fruit. Citrus. And, yes, pineapple notes. Not exactly dry. Fruit juice sweetness in a light way. Somewhat biting bitterness. At the end of the evening it is quite tasty and pleasing.

Tap at the Monterey venue. Pours bright brassy gold with a white head. Med body or so. Barely sour. Starts with lime, but strawberry gets through after a bit. Not enough salt to be obnoxious. Decent drink. Was good food wash with nachos.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours dark, hazy gold with a large off-white head. Tropicals waft from the pour. Med body or better. Flavor is citrus and mixed tropicals. Mango included. Dryer than many NEIPAs. Fruitily hoppy. Nicely bitter. In the finish there's something like a touch of lactose - probably not that, but that sort of flavor. Actually, I think it's oats! :)
