Thanks to quack-duck for that one! Bottle looks simple but okay. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts mild, malty, modest spicy. Light dry background, a bit metallically. Light moldy notes. Finish well balanced, dry malty. Okay.

BOTTLE 50 CL. Clear golden-amber, white head. Strong pale malts (imagine putting your head into a sack of malts), a touch of cooked corn. The taste is similar and straight forward - malts, malts and... did I mention malts? Moderate sweetness, backed by grassy bitterness. Smooth body. Alcohol well hidden. Decent, even if quite simple.

A bit better than the one before, this one’s yellow or something and kind of a nice taste for a pilsner but highly forgettable. Seriously, I just rammed through these samplers scoring as I went along and they are all within about 0.5 points of each other. I think there’s a "wow" moment or two in the mix but this one’s not it. Sampled at the Prague Beer Museum.

Clear medium amber colour with a lot of bubbles, good frothy off-white to white head, slowy diminishing, good lacing. Fresh aroma of sweet malt, caramel, yeast, bit honey, hay. Taste medium sweet and bitter, roasted sweet malt, fruity notes. Medium to full body, oily to slick texture, average carbonation, aftertaste bittersweet with more bitters in the finish, alcohol (but not to much), bit spicy, overall a tasty strong lager.

KØLF 141114. Golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is malt, flower, fruit . Flavour is fruit, alcohol, malt, hop, flower, grain. Medium body. Ordinary beer.

Jezek Grand Pilsner - Possibly made just for export to Korea for Castle Praha & Czech Beer Inter their importation arm as they stopped brewing since it was cheaper to import. On tap at the GKBF. A deep gold with a foamy light beige head. A malty biscuit sweetness aroma. The taste is tangy sweet grainy malts with a bit of fruitiness. Bleh.
