Erstes Forchheimer Export-Hefe-Weißbier, Flasche von REWE, Forchheim-Reuth. - Helles Goldbraun, anfangs fast klar. (24.8.2023.)

Bottle at the Brewpub, Forcheim, Friday 9th June 2023, on my own as Loz flies out to Greece with work tomorrow. Pours amber with a white head gold, clear, again a similar honey sweetness to the Helles, maltier and sweeter though and whilst a very pleasant beer it lacks the refreshing qualities of the first beer.

On tap at the Brewpub, Forcheim, Friday 9th June 2023, on my own as Loz flies out to Greece with work tomorrow. Pours gold, almost clear, actually the glass is a little worn so it is probably clear. A little honey sweetness, malty and refreshing, it's a very nice Helles and very more'ish.

Bottled (lost track if it's MeinBierShop or BierZwerg). Deep amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is bready, grainy, some floral, mild apples and earthy tones. Flavour is floral, toffeeish, some herbal mild wooden and wooden tones. A bit here and there, but gets away with it... Not sure what beer category I'd put it in though...

0,5 l bottle as Winter Zauber Festbier. Clera amber in the glass, two finger pale beige head. Sweet malty on the nose, some nuts. Taste starts also malty with some sweetness, a lot of caramel, shy nuts. Low but present bitter hop. Below average carbonation. Nice one.

500ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Slightly nutty, toasty and minimally sour-ish, dark malty aroma, hints of hazelnut, whiffs of coffe and cocoa. Taste is toasty, slightly nutty, minimally sour-ish, dark malty, hints of hazelnut, dry cocoa, slightly herbal-grassy, bitter hoppy counterpart with a touch of sorrel. Watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Rather dry, no sweetness - OK.
