Description
Collective Arts Brewing is a grassroots craft brewery that aims to fuse the creativity of craft beer with the inspired talents of emerging artists and musicians. Collective Arts Brewing was founded on two beliefs: The first that creativity fosters creativity. And the second, that creativity yields delicious pints. We feature limited-edition works of art on our beer cans and labels, and we work to make sure the liquid on the inside is as diverse and creative as the artists we profile.
Our brewery is located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. This is where we brew everything from our flagship IPA Ransack the Universe to our World Beer Cup-winning Stranger than Fiction porter. In our taproom we pour up to 10 different beers at one time, samples and flights, we host brewery tours and live entertainment weekly. Stop by to see our beer bottle gallery showcasing every artist we’ve worked with over the past 6 years.

Can. Very cloudy pale amber with a white head. Floral and grapefruity aroma with some pine, biscuit. Pine creeps up in the taste a bit to become a little mentholish and eventually is too much for the lovely citrus (herbal lemon is an accent to the grapefruit) and rather light malt that’s a bit bready as well as biscuity. Medium high bitterness with a fairly dry finish.

Part of their Seasonal Variety Pack. Pours a hazy golden colour with a fizzy off-white head that does not stay too long and leaves nothing. Bubblegum nose with some sweetness as well from the Belgian Ale yeasts. Hints of spices, which also appear in the flavours with some banana notes in the finish. Just a tad tarty, but pretty wet mouthfeel overall. Decent, but watered-down Hefeweizen. Lacking a bit of punch.

Part of their Seasonal Variety Pack. Pours a hazy golden colour with an amber hue, white foamy head, decent stay and some mild lacing. Very nice Saison aromas with the fresh hops blended with the Belgian Ale yeast. The papaya are quite mild in the mix. Even in the taste, very, very light. The rest though, a very nice Saison.

Part of their Seasonal Variety Pack. Pours a slight hazy, light yellow colour with a white cap, decent retention and not much lace, but a coat above the brew. Lemon aromas at first reminding me of Mountain Dew. Some grain eventually comes out. The taste has a slight sourness, but the grain takes over with the citrus notes. The salt and spices are quite well-blended, almost too hidden. An easy-drinking Gose.

Tall can from Grand Electric in Toronto. Light bubbly golden pour. Aroma is sweet fruity hops with pineapple and mango. Taste is similar - sweet fruit like mango with citrus bitter bite. Palate is light but not as light as I thought it would be. Really nice. Collective Arts - three for three on this trip of the beers from them I’ve tried. Great big pale ale.

Can from Ottawa LCBO at parents’. Ever so slightly hazy goldenrod pour with dense thin white head. Aroma is pineapple, pine, citrus - nice. Taste is light with sharp citrus peel bitterness and dry bitter finish. Really solid session IPA.
