solid, laced white head on a translucent amber body. A soft nose features sweet malt, a spritz of citrus and some field berries. The hops bring mixed fruity notes and some pine bitterness. Quite sweet and effervescent, which works fine together. Well blended but pretty subtle

Fresh and well defined tastes lead to a solid BW from Riverbend. The nose leads with citrus and earthy hops supported by caramel malts and candied fruit. The taste has some solid elements - rich caramel malt, citrus, rindy hops balanced by earthy English hops, cherries and other berries and a warm booziness. Dense and slightly sticky.

A fulsome white head, well laced, on an opaque straw body. Lots of visible carbonation. The nose features fresh tropical fruit, orange and cereal. This is a horse of a different colour. There are a raft of fruity tastes here, but all tempered by a metallic edge. Orange, lemon, melon, kiwi, and even cherry flavours are all there, but as I said, with this unusual metallic overlay. The hops are generating the flavours, but are not significantly bitter. Sweet malt and grain work well with the fruit. Would this be a home run without the edge?

Red pour, light sediment, high slightly pinkish head. Aroma is quite tart, nice notes of raspberry, and wheat with hints of lactic sourneas. Mouth feel is light and effervescent, lively carb. Finish is tart, nice berry flavour, but a random berry flavour, I can’t say it’s raspberry. Nice, but not memorable..

Soft cherry, hints of jolly rancher, solid lactic tartness and lots if malted wheat. Thin mouthfeel, lively carb. Overall nice and tart, subtle semi sweet jolly rancher like cherry flavour, with a nice overall fruity tartness.

Dark orange pour, small off white head. Lots of malted wheat, strong lactic sourness with alot of citrus zest. Watery mouth feel, lively carb. Tart finish, more citrus and strong wheat finish. Run of the mill Berliner, OK, but nothing special.

Hazy amber colour with some golden highlights, a big warm, light-beige frothy head, very long lasting and leaving nice foamy lacing. Big dark fruits in the aromas at first, then calming down and releasing the caramel malt base, hints of wax, hops. The hops do come out on top in the taste with some nice grassiness, over the caramel malts and some good lingering dryness. Cereal grains and hay come out in the nose with time. Getting more bitter as you drink. A good American Barleywine, as pretty hoppy, but all well-blended with the malt, and really not too sweet.

O:7.39 V:3.18 G:8.15 C:3.71 G:15.5 T:37.93
