Dark brown colour, almost black, with just a tad ruby highlights. The head is frothy, mocha-coloured with decent retention and some light foamy lacing streaks. Coffee aromas over the roasted malts, and hints of nuttiness, dark fruits. The mouthfeel is a little creamy, not overly thick, with a light dryness in the finish. The taste offers mild bitterness with the coffee and roasted barley, but not much more. Just an easy-drinking Coffee Stout... 'bout it.
Sweetish, bready and slightly earthy with some cereal and biscuity maltiness. Clean, but quite easy going, lacking complexity and bitterness

Monster, dense tan head over a near black body. Nose features dark chocolate, molasses, and roasted malt with a touch of bourbon. Much of the same in a dense rich body in the taste profile. Add in some macaroons, a touch of vanilla, a hint of damp wood, and marshmallows and you have a great imperial on your hands. Lovely.

big fluffy light head. Body is near black. The nose is very roasty with chocolate and earthy hop notes. Roasted coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt, cream and earthy hops are all there, in a nice balance. Hints of spice and cinnamon add depth. Body is dense and creamy. A slightly slick mouth feel

Laced, off-white head on a red/amber body. An understated nose with biscuit malt, carmel and a touch of citrus. Roasted biscuit malt and caramel are front and centre in the taste profile. A touch of butter and berries underpin the malt. Nice depth to the taste, a touch of sticky sweetness and a rich dense body for a 5%er - something Pit Caribou has done before with low booze beers.

I never give 4% abv beers this kind of rating. Ever. A real piece of beer craft. The nose features an initial touch of smoke, fresh cut wood, malt and some dark berries. Visually it is a star - a full light tan head with long term lacing on a dark brown body verging on black. The taste is beautifully blended with some spice such as lavender and nutmeg, dark rich berries, wood, rich malt and a slight honey sweetness. A stunner.

A beautiful summer beer. The nose features spice, banana and a touch of sweet malt. Refreshing and well balanced, citrus fruit mix well with nutmeg and coriander, some banana, wheat and sweet malt. significant, fine effervescence adds to the light touch on this Blanche.

Pit Caribou strikes again. A wonderfully crafted east coast IPA. Astringent citrus and citrus rind hops and sweet malt on the nose. Deep, striking, and fresh hop bite from the Chinook hops leads the taste profile. Rich caramel malt and apricots underpin the hop lead. Nice richness and appropriate effervescence polish a great double.

Just when you think you have tasted it all in craft beer, you will always be proven wrong. The nose poses some of the conundrums to come in the taste - Berries, sourness, smoke and green grapes. What? The porter attributes come out more in the taste with coffee and cocao there but playing second fiddle to the sourness, red wine taste and acidity, chalk and dark berries. Solid hint of ripe cherries too. Balanced and intriguing.
