Ein sehr hopfiges Mitbringsel aus Triest ⚓. Dass IPAs amerikanischen Stils gerne mal etwas hopfiger sind, ist bekannt, aber bei diesem Bier aus dem Piemont hat man es übertrieben 😧. Es ist derartig bitter, dass es anderen Aromen keinen Platz lässt und auch die Drinkability leidet darunter. Konnte mich nicht überzeugen.

On tap at Mastro Birraio Trieste, shared with hrabren. Dark golden/amberish coloured, medium sized off-white head, herbal and light caramel nose. Sweet malty, candy, sugary and some caramel with notes of frozen fruits and light ripe oranges. Heavy sweetness in the finish.

On tap at Mastro Birraio, Trieste. Shared with Ogi. Clear amber, small firm creamy off-white head. Lightly hoppy, fruity, red fruit, toast, biscuit, caramel. Flavour is fruity, caramely, intensely sweet, almost unbearable sweetness. Sticky, hard to drink. Lasting sweet finish.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma is piney, citrusy, mild tropical fruity and herbal. Pours cloudy amber color with thin creamy off-white head, fair lacing and soft visible carbonation. Taste starts light to medium sweet malty, herbal and piney, following is resinous and citrusy, mouthfeel is crisp, while finish is moderate bitter. Can at il Punto. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is rich and malty, loads of dark malt complexity and loads of spices, especially anise, licorice, chocolate. Medium body. Flavour is rich, dark malts, chocolate, anise, licorice. Good stuff!

Bottle (from KSM Kampus, Pori). Deep brown colour with a mediumsized off-white head, which goes into a rather small one quite quickly. Aroma is lactose, toasted, chocolaty and some burnt sugary tones to it. Flavour is chocolate, some lactose, mild tart wood with some slight nutty tones.
