Taster. Boldly spiced Like an acid marinade - vinegar, lots of ginger, other spices. Heat from ginger more than anything. It all works as a warming shot but I don't think I could drink much of it.

Can. Cloudy gold with a torrent bubbles breaking the surface. Aroma of sweet and quite tangy apples, hints of cheese. Light bodied, fizzy. Soft and sweet at first with clearly sweet apples and hints of cooked ones, then quite form acidity takes over. Some lemon and strawberries, rosewater. Pretty good - refreshing with a bit of structure.

On tap at the Gertrude Hotel, pours a cloudy blonde with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out notes of red apples, gentle acidity and whiskey barrels. Flavour is fairly boozy, with the whiskey notes upfront, followed gentle acidity and crisp dry red apples. Nice stuff. Not overt harmonious but it's a very interesting, slow sipper. Enjoyable.

Had this strong one at the cidery. Had just a drop of this but it was dry, quite acidic with a really bright apple character and a hint of earthiness.
