(Sample from a bottle at RBESG 2017 Grand Tasting) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had caramel and berries. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, sweetness, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was ashy and bitter. A decent sweet stout.

Bottle. Pours black. Aroma is roast, sweet, vanilla, malt, kvass, bread. Flavor is sweet and bitter, rye bread, malt, roast, somewhat acidic. Carbonation is high. Overall: very good.

F: huge, tanned, good retention. C: dark, opaque. A: malty, roasted malt, light fruity, hint of blue and black berries, chocolate. F: small, some white bubbles. C: gold, light hazy. A: malty, honey, bread, herbal, spicy. T: malty, spicy, herbal, honey, lemon, leather, medium body, low carbonation, drinkable but IPA? Not my thing, half pint @ Kissingate microbrewery near Horsham.
