Can. Mail ordered from the brewery. Bright, floral, fruity hops, citrus, stone and tropical fruits, orange, mango, papaya, apricot, honey malts. Brilliant. Bright, clear, deep golden color with a high, fine head. Crisp citrus, sweet honey malt, very fruity, bit of piny resin. More tropical and stone fruit lurks in the background. Crisp, clean, bracing bitterness. Another great one from my man George.

light golden color. Very carbonated big loose head. Light crackery malt, lychee, mangos and citrus notes. Medium body, nice malt backbone, aggressive bitterness. Dry. Very clean and well balanced. Not the best of the best in the ipa range but still a fantastic beer overall

slightly hazy straw color. Frothy head that quickly disappears. Slightly dank sweet with pineapples, citrus and Muscat character with underlying sweet malty charactet. Medium bitterness, soft medium carbonation nice tropical fruit and citrus character. Very bitter at the end. This can not be called One Direction as it’s starts on the east and goes the the West. Kinda like the sun. Good for what it is but nothing great

Nice stuff. British feel but with high hoppiness. Bit of creamy funkiness too.
Good’un

Can from the brewery. Bright, citrusy hop nose, some cat piss, grapefruit, tropical fruits, wheat biscuits, Nelson? Bright, glowing gold with a high head. Snappy, fruity hop flavor, smooth, silky malts and wheat, lychee. Soft and slightly sweet but also peppery, fruity, decent bitterness. Good stuff. Happy White Day.

Can from the brewery. Canned yesterday. Lemony nose, sour orange, clean biscuity malt, bright fruits. Clear, bright gold with a tall, fine head. nice hops. citrus, light herbs, bit of stone fruit. rich flaky malt. nice bitterness in the finish. Slightly tart and tangy from the hops. Far from my favorite style, but this has good hops and tastes quite like Spring. Crisp and not too sweet. Finish is quite dry, actually.

Made for White Day. TDM 1874 White IPA 7% In my head I was expecting I guess a hopfenWeiss as I’m not super familiar with the style. The clear gold brew has a dense beautiful head which left good lacing around. The aroma was grapefruit zest and pith with a bit of coconut and something I couldn’t pin down, kind of tropical/floral. Full bodied with a somewhat slick mouthfeel but somewhat dry finish. The taste was in my mind leaning towards the IPA rather than giving much wheat/white character. Loaded with hops but ones I’m not that familiar with, I’m guessing pretty new ones. A fun beer with interesting and unique flavors. ——- 2022 on tap in Shimokitazawa: TDM 1874 White IPA 6.5% 43 IBU Cloudy soft gold with a wisp of white foam and an attractive hop bouquet that’s sweetly fruity/floral. Soft bodied with chewy malts and a semi-dry mouthfeel. Bitter but ultra crisp and clean with balancing fruity hops. Great. 3.7 -> 3.9

TDM 1874 West Coast IPA 7% Nice glowing copper/brass color with a thick pillowy head of foam and fragrant hop bouquet featuring full overripe fruits, citrus, pine and that overripe richness gives it a bit of a dank feel. The beer is full bodied and feels a bit slick from all that hoppy goodness. Taste is pithy citrus, resin pine and just straight up fresh west coast IPA executed perfectly with great balance. Damn it’s been awhile since I’ve had one of these done well.

TDM 1874 NZ IPA 6.5% Matte gold with a thick dollop of foam and rich fruity with sharp woodsy notes aroma. Quite full bodied, somewhat slick mouthfeel but oh so smooth with lots of rich hop notes balanced by bitterness. Really good stuff. Can from Kyoto Lefty

Can from the brewery. Rich tropical fruit nose, mango and papaya, melon, honey malts. Great nose. Bright golden, almost clear, thick low head. Sweet, ripe fruits, tropical, but also citrus and stone, honey malts. Peppery, prickly finish. Damn nice and not syrupy or cloying.
