pitch black color. White head. Coconut, roasted malt and cocoa powder in the nose. Low carbonation, full bodied, smooth, low bitterness, medium roastiness, a touch warming, rounded, but don’t get massive complexity.

Light pink, slightly hazy, color. Very very dry nose with acetone, cranberry and a touch citrus. Dry and light. A bit simple, but decent enough.

ocky white head, golden color. Soft hoppy nose, apples, oranges and some butter popcorn. Soft hoppy character, medium bitterness, medium low carbonation. Lovely mouthfeel. Really nice. Butter popcorn distracts but otherwise a good beer.

Happy Birthday to their head brewer and Happy belated Anniversary to TDM!!! TDM 1874 4th Anniversary Imperial Coconut Stout 9.5% Inky black with a thick beige head and umami savory dark malt aroma with roasty notes. Fairly full bodied with a round carbonation with a bit of a scratchy bite. The taste matches the aroma and the coconut is very subtle but definitely there. A rich quaffable big beer which is a bit dangerous so watch out!

Can. Mail order from the brewery. Poured into my Spiegelau IPA glass. Brilliant nose of dank tropical fruits, stone fruit, nectarine, orange. Great Kiwi nose, honey underneath. Clear orange-gold with a fine low head. Flavor us more citrusy, grapefruit, zest, bit of pith, lemon, tropical fruit, resin. Dry ass finish, not the least bit cloying. the hop character is fantastic, the malts just supply the beer to hold it. Crisp, clean, wow. Maybe the best yet from TDM.

Can, mail order from the brewery. A local product beer made with Kanagawa brown rice, aiming to make it crisp and light for the summertime. Medium golden, bright and clear, with a tall head. Nose is grainy, malt, lemony hops, fruity esters. Light biscuits, not at all thin. Crisp, clean, bready, nice hop presence gives a very even, balanced flavor. Somewhat kolsch-like, with lemony, herbal hops. Crushable body and drying finish makes me wish I had more.

Can from the brewery. Bright cranberry tartness in the nose, some crackery malt. Not hugely juicy, but subtle, spicy, cranberry and raspberry notes, slightly herbal. Pretty red-pink-orange. Creamy lactic flavor, not huge, light tartness, lemon, cranberry, with a drying, slightly tannic finish. Nice stuff.
