light golden color. Light golden color. Lime and lychee in the nose. Medium bitterness, excellent hop character. Excellent bitterness. Super nice.

Medium
Light golden color. Yolk white head. Lots of citrus, guava and lime notes. Full body malt forward but then hop attack. Big bitterness and big dankness. This is full on wonderful

TDM 1874 Old Ale 8% I got this in Shimokitazawa and believe I had it on tap then as well. Lovely reddish brown color with thick creamy beige foam. Velvety smooth mouthfeel and full body. The aroma is plums (figs?), tobacco and biscuits. The taste starts off with loads of stone fruits then gets bitter tobacco leaf notes to balance things out. Tasty and dead easy to drink. I chose this as I thought today would be cloudy but it’s going down like a treat on a beautiful sunny day.

TDM 1874 Brewery Brown Rice Beer 5% Matte gold with white fizzy foam and a fresh grainy rice aroma with perfume floral sweet tart aromatics. Quite full bodied and dry with a chewy grainy character and crisp floral lemony finish. Nice easy sipper. Peak sakura is long past by Yamashina canal.

TDM 1874 Brown Porter 5% Deep cola brown verging on black with a thick rocky beige topping of foam that leaves impressive lacing behind. Super roasty and cocoa aroma. Silky smooth medium to light body with chewy malts and big toasted cocoa malt flavor. Very satisfying.

Nothing wrong, but way too light in pretty much every aspect. If this was 3% I’d be all over it, but 7% - yikes. Not aroma, no really flavor minus a little citrus hop. Thin and watery throughout. Nope.

I had the 21 on tap in Shimokitazawa and got this one to go: TDM 1874 IPA #20 7% Matte straw gold with eggshell white soft foam and big fragrant hop bouquet featuring bitter pine and citrus with undertones of tropical fruits. Medium to full bodied with a crisp dry finish. This has loads of hops but enough balance to keep it very drinkable.

Tap at TDM Shimokitazawa, clear gold with a big hop bouquet and crisp flavor on a medium body. It had a nice dry finish. Damn solid.

TDM 1874 農 x Beer Lemon Ginger 26 IBU 4.5% Clear gold with a wisp of foam. Loads of ginger in the aroma and taste. Very nice clean ginger beer. Not much lemon beyond the aftertaste which is like a Meyer lemon.
